Hadrian Feraud sounds a bit like saxophonist Michael Brecker (lots of altered dominant and melodic minor) on bass. Great video, thanks.

this totally works as you get that augmented sound. Plus that usually not note the 4th can be used if you have the phrase resolving. love your lessons. very inspirational. The melodic minor scale is well amazing. May I suggest Barry Galbraiths book on the melodic and harmonic major scales. Its tough and in treble clef. But amazing. Its a great resource.

I always just skipped any of your videos because I didn't give attention to. And now I watch right now this video, and I think it has most practical contents than any other video channels. Is this guy an alien or what? Well whether he is or not, he definitely just helped me find my sound. I took my bass and threw it off the expressway overpass. It made a hell of a sound when it hit the road n broke all to pieces!!!

You talked briefly about using iv minor over major, can you talk more about those kinds of subs using Mel Min, Har Min or Maj? I would like to use this knd of phrasing over simple progressions. Thanks and thanks for sharing!!!!

In all honesty, I never bothered with learning harmonic minor/major. Never fancied the sound no matter how much i tried. However I will do a lesson soon on the Barry Harris method and will explain some concepts based on that in relationship to the minor sounds I favor a ton. Thanks a lot for the support!

I guess what I meant was using Mel Min, Dim, Pent etc.... not just from the root....over common chords Maj, Min, -7b5, Dom etc. Thanks Again!!! Barry Harris is the Man!! I need to buy his videos

hey man! I use the markbass CMD 102p combo amp. My amp EQ is almost always flat at 12 o clock. If the room I gig in needs some help, I might add or remove whatever is needed. I did a lesson on my set up. You can check out the playlist on my channel for that :) Cheers

Hey Francisco, unfortunately I never used books in my learning process to build vocabulary. Just tons of listening and practicing is what I personally think is the best tool :)

Aulas de Contrabaixo com Túlio de Melo they’re stock pick ups man. Only changed the bridge on the bass else everything is purely stock. 😬

4 minor is kind of G7 flat 9 with a sharp 9 . The cycle of diminished dominant scales . What you are doing is playing G7 over 1
