Just a quick update. It takes 7, not 11 full pumps of the jack handle to bring it to its fullest height.

I saw another off-road jack of a similar design but it did't have a full skid plate on the underside - the section showed the hydraulic jack was exposed. I'm looking to replace my old (20+ years old) jack and this is on my list of candidates.

harbor freight has been pretty good for a while now. I got an aluminum 2 ton jack that I bought over 9 years ago and I use it ALL THE TIME. It still works like new. truly amazing for how much I've used it over the years.

I emailed HF, here is their response: Thank you for contacting Harbor Freight Tools. We appreciate the time you took in contacting us and we are more than happy to assist. There has been a mistake on the box and there is no rear axle wheel-lock on the Badland 3 ton off road jack. However, this jack utilizes a handle lock that allows the jack to be maneuvered. The handle gets locked into a 45 degree position that allows the user to lift the front wheels off the ground to easily move the jack around. Please let us know if we can assist you further.

I may have overlooked in the comments, but is there a skid plate specific to this jack? Looking to gift to my brother while he’s off to college. His truck is lifted but currently a pavement princess while at college.

@0:22 REMOVE THAT RUBBER BLOCK!!!! Its there for packageing but to operate the jack without bending that bar in front of the pump handle, you need to remove it!!! You didnt remove it and bent the bar as seen @0:51!!!

Sadly yes. One of the employees in the local store did tell me they are made of a fiber reinforced plastic. They are thick and heavy, if that matters.
