God of War III actually had sub-bosses that were harder than the main bosses. Goddamn giant Cerberus hasn’t let me advance in Chaos Difficulty

He was the hardest boss for sure , I beat him on chaos difficulty but it was really annoying to deal with .

The Hades Cerberus Breeder from God of War III on Chaos Difficulty was a nightmare, especially with the summoning of those Olympian Satyrs. My go-to tactic was (and the results varied a lot, as I had to try many times) equiping the Soul of a Gorgon to the Claws of Hades, freeze the satyrs when they appeared (hoping not the miss because the window of error was ridiculously small) and break the statues. That made the battle a bit more managable but hell, did it gave me a lot more problems than Zeus. The Endurance Run in God of War II (before you'll face with Clotho, the final sister) also gave my nightmares when I was young...

@@BjornV1994 The endurance run in gow 2 on the highest difficulty is the hardest part of any GOW game imo , unless we are including challenge runs of some kind . I used the Gorgon as well to freeze the satyrs and later the blade of Olympus to burst down the boss .

Bosses sure were tough but nothing comes even close to protecting second translator in God of War II on Titan difficulty. I was stuck on this part for months back then but when I finally did it I felt like I was on top of the world. 😅

Hrolf Kraki was a pain in the ass. More so than Gna by a decent amount for me.

If you had played GOW 2018 then definitely , in a vacuum ( no Sigrun ) Gna would probably be harder imo because you wouldn't get that valkyrie experience .

@@katiefergusson4135I was having issues too till I put on an armor that added stagger and damage resistance while performing regular attacks. Beat her the very next try. That stagger resistance is key.

@@katiefergusson4135 You can melt her with the Berserker armor if you have killed King Hrolf Kraki and the other berserkers for their armor with a cheese strat but I never used it because it felt cheap to me to kill her like she is a basic mob . There are guides for it tho if you really want to give it a shot and can't beat her otherwise .

Having beaten all games on the highest difficulty this is my ranking for the highest difficulty of each game . God of War 1 - Ares - no doubt he is the hardest and even tho he has checkpoints after every phase he is still much harder than any other boss , this is a no brainer for the n1 spot . God of War 2 - Theseus - the hardest boss in the game , that p2 is brutal and he can easily one shot you with the ice floor attack . Honorable mention goes to the Barbarian King , he has 4 phases and has a checkpoint after p2 , if he didn't have checkpoints he would definitely be harder than Theseus and that is why I am giving him an honorable mention . Zeus is number 3 he is definitely bellow both Theseus and the Barbarian King in difficulty . God of War Betrayal - I mean the game barely has any bosses and I one shotted them all but I guess I gotta give it to Ceryx even tho he was pretty easy as well . God of War Chains of Olympus - on the highest difficulty after already having beaten Charon on hard I gotta say Persephonie was harder and gave me a harder time than Charon on very hard . God of War 3 - Cerberus Breeder boss was easily the hardest boss on the highest difficulty . Skorpius was also harder than Zeus . Then Zeus might be third . God of War Ghost of Sparta - The bosses were so easy in this game even on the highest difficulty that I don't think I have died more than a few times on any of them so I guess I will pick Thanatos even tho I think he killed me only once . God of War Ascension - I agree that Aegaeon the Hecatonchires was the hardest boss in the game . God of War 2018 - Its obviously Sigrun God of War Ragnarok - I will pick King Hrolf Kraki over Gna because Gna shares a lot of similarities with Sigrun which made her easier but if Sigrun did not exist or if you didn't play GOW 2018 I would put her over King Hrolf Kraki , in any case both difficult and comparable bosses .

@@uafc1 Gna , Sigrun and King Hralf Kroki would be top 3 , hard to say how I would rank them as they are all comparable in difficulty , I will say I never used resurrection stones on any of them or any fight in GOW 2018 or Ragnarok . However I would say the hardest segment of any GOW game would go to Clotho's pathway in GOW 2 , for example on hard I remember I one shotted it going in blind on my first playthrough although it was by a hair and on Very Hard it took me like 6 hours knowing full well what I was doing , that is the difference between hard and very hard sometimes .

​@@blabla-fw9ix personally Gna is much harder than Sigrun because in 2018 you can just melt health bars with Wrath of the Frost Ancient (the ice beam). Going in with a high runic stat and leveled up gear accompanied with the enchantment to increase the duration of the ice beam, you can easily melt like half her health with one well aimed attack.

@@arandomperson3840 You do know you can melt Gna in 10 seconds with some build even on GMGOW , I never used it personally as it would take the satisfaction of killing her ,, properly ,, but you absolutely can if you want to . I have seen plenty of videos of people killing her between like 10-20 seconds on GMGOW so if we use the most broken builds that would make Gna also a complete joke . If you do not believe me watch it for yourself , there are plenty of videos on you tube . I was talking about fighting them without using the most busted cheese build to make you have to deal with their mechanics and then they are comparable to each other .

You all should do the mist difficult non boss sections in the gow series. The trials of archimedes in gow ascension were hard af before they patched it due to complaints of it being too hard. I beat it before the patch but it was brutal.

Sigrun was the most difficult and Zeus was the most satisfying, for me personally.

God of War 3 Cerberus Breeder in Hades accompanied by 2 stayrs was the hardest of that game easily. In the first game protecting his family on god mode is close to impossible. Obviously Sigrun and Gna and very difficult but thier supposed to be, thier designed that way. In Ragnarok the triple Berserkers was the hardest easily. Ghost of Sparta Thanatos wraiths are harder than any boss when in groups re spawning

Gna ain't the hardest boss on Ragnarok, that title belong to the green berserker king dude (I forgot his name). Took me 3 tries just to kill Gna but the dude took me like more than a day to beat.

Didn't had the same amount of opportunities with the valkeries in GOWR and hadn't re-played GOW 2018 right before it. So for me, it was fighting progressively harder Berserkers vs getting thrown directly to the final boss of the valkeries.
