Forget hating Superman’s suit, they are HATING on the rest of Mr. Terrific’s team because, he made them on brand outfits that obviously don’t look like their normal suits. People are mad because Hawk Girl, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern have similar leather jackets, like that’s literally the POINT of the story. The Bat Family dress like Batman, the Shazam family look like Shazam, Spiderverse all look like Spiderman, Super-family all look like Superman. That’s the point, even in the Avengers movies, they wore Stark suits which were all White when they were about to time travel. They may all go back to their normal suits when Superman makes them see that they’re on the wrong side, maybe not in this movie sure… We could even see them in the past before they joined or got recruited by the government/Luther/Lordtech, wearing their normal suits. I think Gunn didn’t want to reveal the other suits this early which is why they haven’t shot any scenes with those just yet. He wants to keep the hype surrounding this movie alive throughout the production process, so my bet is that the other suits will be slowly revealed one after the other over the course of the year up until the trailer eventually drops.

One of two things are going to happen with GL and Hawkgirl’s suits. Either they get the more comic accurate suits by the end of the film, or we see them gain them after like a JL/JLI film. Kinda dig the idea that Superman is able to convince them, or even Maxwell Lord, to ditch the corpo suits in favor of the more bright colored suits we know. Can also have a quick bit about how Mr. Terrific just liked what he was given and saw no reason to change his suit.

Yes the loose fitting is big problem for me. Clarke Kent wears loose fitting clothes as a way of hiding his secret identity but superman is strong and stands upright and all that. wearing loose costumes makes him appear weak like he is skinny or something when he is not. 1. The S curl is hard to do consistently and convincingly in Live Action, admittedly. It would have to be done in post production, which has historically never ended well. 2. Hard agree. Too much noise. Different type of the same issue I had with the MoS suit's texturing. 3. That is always done in post production nowadays. Even in the Snyder movies, Cavill's suit is rather baggy, then CGI'd to make it form-fitting.

Unlike Zach Snyder, who doesn't even understand who Superman is as a person and as a hero and had him KILL in his FIRST MOVIE. Not only did he nearly ruin Superman, but he ruined the DCEU version of Batman who could have been portrayed accurately as a good man trying his best to work through his trauma and keep Gotham City safe as its PROTECTOR by making him a fear-mongering, violent *MURDERER* and having him try to *murder* Superman, who is SUPPOSED to be his best friend. That movie could have had them be at odds with each other at first, given that Bats is a vigilante, but throughout the movie, they could've been shown having a begrudging respect being built between them and eventually, it would've developed into a close, brotherly friendship. A friendship of two dudes in cool costumes dedicated to doing good, helping people, fighting crime, and saving lives. Every member of the Justice League is a hero and a symbol of hope, redemption, and justice. Something that Zach Snyder REFUSES to understand and NEVER WILL. Thank goodness the DCEU is done. I love Man Of Steel as a Superman movie, but Zach *clearly* never cared about the character AT ALL. All in all, the DCEU is *done*. GET OVER IT, the new cinematic DCU is on its way, so either grow up, be GRATEFUL, and give it a chance, or don't engage with or watch it at all and let us real DC and Superman fans give James Gunn and his artistic vision of bringing the DC Universe to life some love. James Gunn is gonna do great, David Corenswet is gonna KILL IT as the Man Of Steel, and this will be yet another well-crafted art form of the DC Universe for real, engaging fans to enjoy instead of lazy, complaining, ungrateful, grifters who call themselves fans when they aren't and just want to be a jerk and an unnecessary contrarian. Much like when Jim Lee drew Goku for the first time, the artwork was fantastic, but when he published it, people despised him because it didn't resemble Toriyama's original Goku. That being said, that is precisely the point: Jim Lee was interpreting the character, not faithfully reproducing Toriyama's artwork; he was doing his own TAKE on it. Samething to Gunn, he created this version of Superman's outfit in his STYLE, and it looks amazing and quite similar to his Guardians design while being faithful to the comics. Like i dont see you guys complaining about the guardians outfits but all of the sudden here we are... smh

I LOVE David Cornswet’s look as Superman. He looks more like Supes than Henry. I love the color on the suit and the cape. If the cape looks that great in behind the scenes pics I can’t wait to see it in the movie. The only thing I hate are the unnecessary lines all over the suit. They stick out like a sore thumb and I still dislike the trunks. I can’t take them seriously. As much as I keep trying to see the appeal I just haven’t been able to. They just bring the suit’s quality down. I’ve always felt that the trunks work on comics, video games, animated shows and animated movies and low quality Party City costumes, not in live action movies or shows. As much as I try to see the appeal they will always look silly to me.

I saw a set photo where a Superman with an all dark-blue suit, no trunks, and red boots was making the rounds, and almost immediately everyone was like "Oh finally. I hope he dumps the original set suit and gets a real suit. The original suit looks like he made it himself." And to that I say, I take offense to that remark! It was his mom who made the suit, and Clark is proud of it for that. In all seriousness, I think it speaks to a bigger issue that people look at the trunks and bright colors and thinks he's old and busted and should be "modernized" to the New Hotness. "He should wear Kryptonian battle armor. His dad should be a soldier. Who even reads the newspaper anymore?" And to that I say, we tried that. We tried that for about 3 maybe 4 movies. It literally didn't work out. So, back to basics. Especially with Superman.

Even before the set pictures came out, I knew it was battle damaged and that it looked better so I gave it a B+. Mr. Terrific and the Daily Planet cast look good. Hopefully Metamorpho looks good, but Guy Gardner and Hawkgirl don't. Guy's suit looks more like Kyle Rayner than Guy Gardner and Hawkgirl's suit just looks mediocre.

It's probably one of those "brand synergy" things for Lord Tech. Also Guy's suit looking like that doesn't really give GL vibes aside from the Kyle allusion. It gives Warrior vibes. Remember how Guy was Warrior with a yellow ring briefly? What if instead of being GL with his custom green-biker look his new independent design is actually going to be the blue & gold Warrior look? I mean he did become Warrior in 1992...and remained Warrior until 2005 when Hal came back then he was back to GL.

No, no. You're wrong everyone has the absolute right to scrutinize this new Superman if they feel something's wrong. Jame Gunn decided against every fan will, & rebooted the DCEU which most of us older fans are sick of. Removing Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck's as Batman arguably the best version of Batman & Superman to date. Gunn was selfish & wanted to do his own thing instead of writing better stories for an already established universe. (They went so far as to tease us in Black Adam with Henry Cavill's Superman return) It is not up to the fans just like whatever they make. they have to actually produce something that people want to watch. & After what Gunn decided to do It Better Be Amazing In Every Way.

In my opinion this is the most comic accurate (appearance wise) Superman we’ve gotten, this guy is basically what I’ve imagined when reading the comics and literally the only thing I see ‘wrong’ with the costume is the shoulder/neck lines
