1999 film "The Haunting" starring Liam Neeson and Catherine Zeta Jones, was based on the same book as Netflix series. But it's little known, because it was massive box office bomb. However, the house used in the movie, Harlaxton Manor, is a fantastic place.

I honestly thought the house used in the show was a set, or part set. Must be the digital processing or something, but the faux-castle parts looked fake to me. But then I live in the UK so I know what real castle brickwork looks like, and that's not it. I'm surprised to find out the place actually exists though. Cool building.

Going to film locations is dope. I went to the 2003 Texas chainsaw massacre house in Granger Texas, and it looks just like it did in the movie. It's such a cool feeling (even tho it's fake but who cares)
