The government is attacking the consumption of everything healthy and good for you these days. Raw Milk has been branded as dangerous. Sir Julian Rose, who famously saved the banning of raw milk in the 1980s and 90s, joins me to discuss the merits of this very natural and healthy product.

At a recent dental check up the dentist spotted a slight enamel erosion on one of my daughters teeth, she told her she could remineralised the enamel to self heal by drinking raw milk. Will note that our dentist is not English but originally from Eastern Europe.

I lived on raw milk until I left home at age 21. Firstly in a small town, the local farmer used to come up our street every morning in his milk cart pulled by Peggy his trusty Chestnut pony who knew every child on the milk run and which ones could be relied on to give her a crust. We moved to the country when I was 9 and had milk delivered to our back doorstep every morning by the farmer just down the lane. Wonderful milk. We were never sick!!!

Hi Richard thank you for your excellent videos not only am I an avid viewer I am a dairy farmer from north west England with a license to sell raw milk and I can tell you it is in demand, we not only have doorstep costumers but also have people driving miles to get their hands on it . We also produce process and sell the full range of pasteuriser milk and cream all from our own cows on our own farm and the only travelling it makes is from the farm fridge to the costumers door step , thank you for your support and keep up the good work

I grew up on a farm in New York State and drank unpasteurized milk my whole life without a problem. When you pasteurize milk it actually makes the milk go bad quicker than if you don't pasteurize it. The sematic cell count of milk is basically the cleanliness of it and our Co-Op that took the milk awarded us super milk awards if we kept our count under 100,000 parts per million and our milk was always 50,000 parts per million. This is directly tied to washing and cleanliness of the utters before the milker goes on and cleaning the milkers, pipeline, and milk tank after the milking is done & picked up by the milk truck.

I can only speak for my own experience, but here in the USA, raw milk became legal again in my state, and I started drinking it regularly. I had (and still have) health issues. But I truly credit drinking raw milk every day with helping me get out of a bed-bound state and into better health. Not a quick fix, not a miracle cure - but a miracle to me, in my situation, and when I couldn't get it sometimes, I could feel my health slowly draining away, till I could barely get out of bed again. I may not need it forever, and it might not help everyone the same way. But I am so grateful for raw milk. It is such a blessing to me. I like it, and it helps my health.

Ive started drinking it a week ago...Im still on the fence. I believe its great for replenishing the probiotics and enzymes in our gut and the benefits that bestows. But the steroids and growth hormones worry me as they are known for causing the growth of cancer. Theres so much misleading information out there (especially from the authorities) its hard to determine whats best. Im thinking I'll stick with it everyday for a couple months then replenish about 1 day a week.

A long time ago, we were living in a small village. Milk was delivered on our doorstep. Cream on the top was sooo good and thick. One day my baby sister, who was almost 2 years old, took many pills from the pharmacy in the bathroom. Aspiri, pills for blood pressure and some anti inflamatory pils. My mom called the doctor ask8ng him to come (at that time doctors were still visiting patients at home). I could hear him.laghing at the other end of the phone line. He told my m9m "give her a big glass of milk"!. Raw milk is an anti poison. She took the big glass of milk and was indeed fine.

When I was at primary school, in 1968, all of us children had to drink the provided fresh and warm milk, about a third of a pint, each school day, distinctly remember that I hated the fact that it was warm, tasted unlike any milk that is out there today. Probably a very important factor that has contributed to my life long good health, now 59 yrs old and have not visited a doctor since the age of 13, and don't intend to in future, I totally believe and trust in my own immunity system.

I recently found an Amish farm about an hour from me in PA, USA. I am enjoying the raw milk, cheese, cream and butter while supporting my local farmers The farm is forced to label the raw products “for cats & dogs”. I’m grateful that I found a source, but really angry that the government and big agriculture have corrupted and monopolized our food supply. (As well as our medical establishment etc) This has caused the disastrous pandemic of diseases and obesity we see today. Sadly, they will just push a pill or injection while also recommending ultra processed garbage food like substances in place of real food. 😢 Time to turn this ship around!

What a great interview! So informative! And homogenized milk, which Sir Julian mentioned too, I have read years ago contains Transfats! The process creates them! And conventional milk these days is pasteurized AND homogenized! Which is why so many milk allergies exist these days, in children already! Hiromi Shinya, a gastroenterologist based in the US, wrote about this too, in "The Enzyme Factor", I think. He found this relationship in his patients!

I cannot drink any other now, it seems to have an odd flavour like it is off. I bring my own milk with me when i go out lol. i am sold. thanks for the info on the cream being an anti for the big C, very interesting. awesome interview as usual.

I really hope more farmers will start selling raw milk. Our nearest supplier is about 25 miles away. I can recommend Deanery Dairy, Penkridge, in Staffordshire, too - I was cycling past it in the summer and went in to their shed shop and bought some. And they take cash!! There's also an excellent podcast on this subject, in a recent interview with Sally Fallon Morell, on the Weston A Price website. It's podcast no. 445.

My father was a herdsman for 25 years. The milk drawn from the cattle goes through sock filters before it entered the chilled tank which was constantly churned by big paddles. We grew up on that pure fresh milk. No toxins or additives. Straight from the cow. As kids we even made our own butter from the milk.

Milk is the best drink of the day. Preferably raw if you can get it. As for "grass fed cows". I don't know of any dairy farmer in the UK that feeds cows on anything else but grass. Yes, cows are fed a small quantity of "cake", "provin", "nuts" and or other local names for concentrated supplementary feed. Provin as I call it, supplies extra vital minerals that cows health needs. Some of those minerals are; zinc, magnesium, selenium, calcium to name a few. Sometimes, farmers use bagged minerals or mineralised molasses to get supplements into their herd. How do farmers know what the deficiencies are? They get the hay, haylage or silage (preserved grass) analysed for mineral and trace element content. What is hay? Hay is dried by the Sun grass. Haylage is not dried as much as hay. Silage, is 24hr (ideally) wilted grass that self preserves in its own juices. Politicians and activists are to blame for demonising farming and milk, eggs, meat, cereals and veg. Buy British where you can.

We or rather they produced so much my dad gave it to the other workers , the farm cats and anybody that would take it lol we were as fit as fiddles and it was a million times better than milk from the milkman. Once you got used to the unique taste it was hard going back when we eventually parted with the goats

I was born in the early 80s, and I can remember my mum bought the milk from a local lady who had a couple of cows. In the morning we heard the cowes walking to the grass field and than thay came back in the evening. Within an hour or so the lady turned up with the fresh milk and we pored into large glass jars. Next morning we had the nice thick layer of cream on the top. If we did not drink the all the milk my mum turned it into cured cheese. I never had raw milk since I left the nest.

Goats milk freezes well and is fine when defrosted as the protein chains are much shorter than in cows milk and it is naturally homogenised. Had raw milk most of 70 years, had to give up livestock a few years ago. Full fat supermarket goats milk now but would love to find a local supplier for raw.

We have raw milk from a local farm. My mother when she was a small child caught TB and so her mother sent her to live with her mother who had goats. So my mother was fed raw goats milk and was cured and able to return home. There was no known cure for TB in those days so yes raw milk cured a small child of TB. I love raw cows milk.

Raw milk, produced in the way Sir Julian describes it is a safe and healthy product. Milk produced in bulk, in the way that Muller-Weisman or Arla make it, would not be safe if it wasn't pasteurised. The problem with the UK legislation is that it does not distinguish between the two systems. If you have raw milk available in your area, get to know the farmer, and get to know the cows. If it all looks fine, enjoy the milk. But if you find the milk is being shipped in from who knows where, and who knows what's happened to it, then maybe give it a miss.
