I've had a negative reaction to dairy all my life. Asthma, bloating, sneezing. Once I worked up the nerve to try raw dairy ibwwas stunned. Not only did I not have any of those issues, my lungs felt clearer than ever and my digestion was amazing. Now we can't access any and I miss it. When we could get raw milk, cream, butter, etc it was really healing for me. Just felt so good with that in my life.

I’m not carnivore. I’m a big raw dairy advocate though. I wish I would’ve known about the benefits of raw milk much sooner. I’m one year into my raw milk journey. (I’m now milking 2 jersey cows) I’ve lost 30 lbs this year. I’ve made 2 major changes, gave up wheat due to stomach issues and started drinking raw milk. I still love carbs just fine. I know BMIs can be off, but mine is now in the healthy weight category and I’m still dropping. I think a big part of that is raw milk feeding my gut after I got rid of the inflammation from the wheat. It’s awesome!!

Two possible reasons for the correlation between fish eaters and melanoma would be: 1. I assume lots of avid fisherman are exposed to more sunlight and tend to eat some of the fish they catch. 2. Likely areas with more fresh fish available for a good price (like near the ocean) are also areas where people spend more time outside with possibly more skin exposed. PS I eat very similar to you, Paul, and have recently come across your content. I love it!

Regarding user bias on the fish study: those that eat more fish may live closer to a body of water, likely swimming and fishing, causing more exposure to sunlight. Although sun exposure shouldn't cause skin cancer, as you've said before, it could have to do with other foods that they are consuming as well as overexposure, and the fish may not be the cause.

This Doctor is on a whole different level. This diet saved me. Now I’m just worried it’ll grow from our large group to the rest of the world and my sources of raw milk, Grassfed meats, will dry up or become so high demand (already are) that they become an expensive delicacy like Caviar harder to afford or even produce. Or maybe something miraculous could happen, the drug industry I mean the food industry selling cocaine I mean sugar based foods, might actually do this on a large international scale.

I haven’t seen evidence that raw milk is more risky than handling raw meat in the place you cook, or more dangerous than sandwich meat or multiple other foods. Also many reports of sickness on pasteurized milk so I don’t think clean raw milk at a regular farm is dangerous than pasteurized milk from the standard poor factory farm conditions. Listeria usually either doesn’t replicate in raw milk and can even be reduced due to the antibacterial aspects and other probiotics while there’s nothing in pasteurized milk to stop it so listeria spreads fast in pasteurized milk and pasteurization does not fully kill it off. Studies showing that also.

FISH ANSWER: People who eat more fish are more likely to live around the sea, which also means they have increased exposure to sunlight. That is especially important around the Mediterranean where everyone living close to the shore has increased fish consumption and also sunlight exposure. That sounds reasonable to me...

Keep your raw milk unrefrigerated / Don't refrigerate your milk when you get it from the store, just keep it in ambient room temp, in order for it to age / culture nicely. Seriously. It's awesome excellence. Raw milk turns bitter in the refrigerator beyond a week or two, rather than nicely culturing. Just keep it in the bottle. Gas expansion occurs in the bottle, but it's good/great. Pasteurized milk is more congestive/gunky causing of congestive diseasements, which is most disease.

I gre up drinking pasteurized milk and it always gave me a stomach ache and made my eczema flare up like crazy. For the past 10 years my family has been drinking raw grass fed milk from Jersey cows. I feel great when I drink it. No bloating. No eczema. And it’s literally like a sports drink. I know that Gatorade is horrible and full of sugar and food coloring and flavorings, but when it’s 90 degrees out and you’re dehydrated and water just isn’t doing anything, but you’re able to chug Gatorade and it just hits the spot. Well raw milk does the same exact thing. When I’m really dehydrated but I can’t drink anymore water, I can chug 2 giant glasses of raw milk and I instantly feel hydrated and alive again. I could never do that with pasteurized milk from the store. Just the thought of it could make me gag.

I honestly compare this to breast milk - most kids that drink “raw” BM don’t have asthma and etc etc etc Drinking the milk - as it was intended - will obviously have more benefits The goal of the mother’s body is to pass whatever nutrients and microbes through her milk so cows must do the same for their young B feeding for 2 years now - never had asthma , allergies, ear infection, any infection actually, taken Tylenol once in 2 years that’s it.

I still feel that drinking milk ( even raw ) is a gray area. I grew up drinking milk, but since 2009 I haven't touched it unless it's fermented. I was taught back in 2009 that after the age of 3, you no longer have the enzyme to digest milk. Milk was meant for babies only, so after you're weaned from your mother, that's it for milk unless it's pre-digested. That's what fermentation is, pre-digested. My teaching is that cow milk is for cows only. Camel milk is for camels only. Human milk is for humans only ( babies ) etc. But I'm not challenging Dr. Paul's intake here. He's one smart cookie. Ever since I read the Carnivore Code, he's has become my favorite researcher..

I love raw milk and i also acknowledge that accessing raw milk is an uncommon choice. Where I live, the only options are farms and expensive health food stores. You can’t just pick this stuff up at the grocery store (which is where most of the population shops). Thus I think there are socioeconomic factors at play which might contribute to overall health. There still very well might be a benefit, but the causality has not yet been shown.

I'd be inclined to associate higher rates of melanoma with high fish consuming populations to the possible fact that higher fish consumption may be taking place in coastal AND sunnier locations. Is more fish consumption happening in locations that receive more annual sunshine--which could equate to higher melanoma rates? That would be a place to check...

Just regarding the fish: I could imagine a healthy/unhealthy user bias in this scenario. People who eat fish are more aware of the health. People are aware of their health go out in nature more often. Going out to nature more often increases the amount of UV waves one is exposed to. UV rays are the main risk factor for melanoma. Therefore, fish itself might not be the cause of increased melanoma rates. Other than that, one could also imagine higher rates of fish consumption in populations that are more exposed to UV rays (people who like near waters).
