Hi Magdelen, I have just spoken to Alan C Logan and he told me to let you know this - In 1978 the Akron Beacon Journal reported that Edwards planned book was entitled "Friends and Felons", which was to be about the lives of all the famous people Edwards had met while incarcerated. I couldn't help but be moved by the photos of Edwards when he was very young. Laughing, smiling, innocent and trusting.... then later as a young teen, unsmiling, sullen and sad. Shows what neglect, cruelty and abandonment can do to a person. Thanks, TCR. You're the best.

My roommate and I enjoyed this one. Scary, having someone like that for a father. I had come across mention of a daughter turning in her father when she suspected him of being a killer and finding out he was a serial killer but I didn't know the details. Very eerie story for me, as I live near Doylestown Ohio , graduated from High School in a nearby town, and never heard of this man. Look into Robert Buell, also a serial killer in the area Crimey. I was at a pig roast that he attended weeks before his arrest. He was showing a lot of attention to the ladies that were there, and females were his victims. It's mind blowing that these type of criminals walk among us. Be vigilant friends!

His final interviews in 2011 were chilling. He talked about his murders as casually as discussing what he'd had for dinner, smh. Edwards had hoped to go straight when he was influenced by a guard and wrote his autobiography - - but clearly that didn't happen.

Well..Crimey...This has to be your best yet! I thoroughly enjoyed this tale! It was an exceedingly interesting,albeit twisted life ...and to a large degree wasted and false- even to himself.I am not "impressed" by the man,and he was bent in the worst of many ways in his nature...and the worst part is that he tookany innocent folks down with him in his plastic life.You know what they say(two applicable phrases come to me that fit this man..) one is that "Leopards can't change their spots" and the other is "The road to hell is paved with good intentions" ....Maybe he felt genuinely sincere at one point but that doesn't stop the darkness that seethes beneath the surface in some truly warped individuals.Love ya Crimey!Bravo on this great one! And a huge hand to the excellent author on this! Love to all the great CR fam!

You mentioned that some suspect him of the Black Dahlia, Jon-Benet Ramsey, Jimmy Hoffa and Chandra Levy murders. Accusations which I never heard about, and in fact sound ridiculous. The case that I have heard his name tied to, and is a lot less ridiculous, is The Zodiac murders. They match his M-O ( modus operandi ) of killing couples, many of which were at so-called lovers lane, just like The Zodiac. But there are some differences as well. I guess well never truly know.

Title. Ed Ed and Eddie! But his Initials spell, EWE!! This was quite interesting. I do remember hearing about his killing the adopted boy but suspect in some other crimes. He definitely led an interesting life. Admittedly. His start was tragic. Orphanages and convents to protect children are often just as if not more abusive than their tumultuous homes. Older children will many times bully the smaller ones Its impossible to know. But had he lived with a loving parent he may have done great things. He was resourceful and ambitious and it could have been more positive . his penchant for marriage almost seems a sign of craving a woman's love and stability he never had. Its amazing how quickly he found another to marry him. We know of five children? Didn't he have a couple others prior? He served some time anyway. He most likely killed the others and only he knows how many more. Pssssssst: Great segment! Wonderfully researched....👍
