If you dont have the magnet, gathering exp by walking over each bit takes a lot longer and is less efficient. You're on a timer, remember. And frequently there's a horde in the way, so you CAN'T, in fact, just "walk over it"

Magnet is pretty useless if you have clover, you're gonna collect ALL the exp orbs eventually because of blinking orb, not to mention if you just do more damage and move correctly you can walk over most orbs. If you somehow don't get much damage early, or clover, then maybe take the magnet, but the magnet skill in the powers tab is more than enough imo.

Ya gotta go for the gatling gun build: Knife, wand, bible, whip, and both birds Equipment is duplicator, spinach, tome, heart, spellbinder, and bracer I like starting as the guy with +1 projectiles By the end of the run you'll have the knives, wand and birds machine gunning through all crowds, bible stopping anything from getting close, and whip healing your mistakes. Guaranteed dubs Also a hint: go all the way right on library

Honestly most fun build in this game is going full AoE - Start with whip, go santa water, lightning, bible, garlic, and if you feel up to it maybe hit em with some axe.

1. Santa water is awesome when it's max level and you have area and duration upgrades. 2. Washcloth provides exfoliating benefits, and easier to to clean than a loofah. You'd be surprised how much dead skin is just sitting on top.

That dead skin is part of what protects your skin from being damaged. It's there for a reason! No one is getting weird amounts of dead skin because they don't scrub, but you ARE damaging your skin by overdoing it with that cloth. THE MAN IS RIGHT AND I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL D:

@@Surtak I mean, that’s why you use a soft wash cloth and not the harsh loofahs at stores. Plus I think it depends -heavily- on your skin type and (frankly) how gross you get, not to mention how much you sweat during the day and the climate you live in. I am a sweaty dude and I will get downright greasy if I am not diligent about how I clean myself. It took a long time to find a regiment that works, but a washcloth is a non negotiable part of it, especially for scrubbing my armpits. I am envious of anyone whose armpits are actually clean just by rubbing soap on them. I am not saying that -everyone- needs to or should use a washcloth, but I don’t like this implication that I’m a chump or that I don’t know when I’m drying my skin out. If just soap works for you, then kudos, but stop pretending that what works for you works for everyone. Frankly NL needs to do the same but he is definitely just playing it up for drama for engagement.

This is a big problem with swarms, they are weak, but they move so much faster that they 'push' stronger enemies into you when things get crowded

Exactly. That's why Garlic + Bible isn't as strong as you'd think without strong support. Even evolved, Knife damage pales in comparison to Rune Tracer, which can't evolve at all. It might be advantageous to use a non-knife build, so you don't need gauntlets. Without gauntlets, bullets are slower, so you can have more on screen at the same time ( * _cough_ * Hellfire Wand * _cough_ * ) and hit even the enemies far away. Ultimate Wishlist: -- Garlic: close-in defense without blind spots -- Bible: still very close range, more damaging than garlic -- Birds: attack at mid-range, only take ONE slot once evolved -- Fire Wand: piercing damage when evolved -- Magic Wand: targets closest enemy, quite reliable last line of defense against single targets -- The 6th pick is less clear. Lightning Ring or Rune Staff for additional DPS all over the screen, or death circle (evolved axe) for less erratic damage that pierces. Maybe pick Rune Tracer to keep another item spot for your all-time fave accessory available.

The wash cloth has a rougher texture, so it help to get grime up in addition to being a vehicle to distribute soap. Your hands are relatively smooth, so don’t assist to much in scrubbing. My 2 cents.

No one needs to scrub their skin to exfoliate, your skin does that by itself and in fact it's part of your skin's natural defence. All you're doing by scrubbing away with a cloth is wasting perfectly good detergent on washing them and making your skin worse.

Attractorb makes getting experience in the late game much more feasible, since you can pick up almost all the XP on the screen with the expanded radius. This is extremely helpful by then, since your movement is heavily restricted by the sheer number of enemies. Garlic is also top tier since it damages EVERYTHING near you, and is even more goated with candelabrador and an upgraded bible

Love this game huge thanks for introducing it to us all. I would be extremely surprised if NL actually reads this but if he does a few tips: -When using King Bible, Bracers synergise extremely well. If you have 100% uptime on King Bible either before or after the evolution, it becomes a more powerful garlic. -Runetracer is disgustingly powerful, so much so I think it needs a nerf. It synergises very well with everything. Projectiles, Area, Speed, Duration, everything. -Try to focus on abilities that work well with your character. Most of them don't matter but for instance, Porta, going all the abilities that scale with Area is quite beneficial. New update just dropped January 21st with new items! Excited to see them in action.

The most charming thing about this game are the italian-sounding names and puns on them. Honourable mentions: nduja Fritta Tanto (deep fride "nduja", calabrian pork sausage), peachone (anglicized pronunciation of "piccione", that's pidgeon), and above all, the garlic lord, Poe Ratcho (reminds of "poveraccio", derogatory for "povero", meaning "poor man").

I wanted a garlic Bible build so bad! Glad he was forced to recognize. Now he just needs to learn to pick up the xp instead of walking in a straight line. Walk spiral outward and stay within one or two of the dirt-path grid squares. It's like a "we have library at home". BTW I've never played this game, only watched it here 😁
