Dear Annabel, I am a senior and was my granddaughter that encouraged me To visit your channel. I was born in Ireland and at age 39 yrs emigrated to Canada with my husband Sadly my husband of 51 yrs died 2016. Wish for you to know, your videos are so lovely , your fur kids adorable Your area where you walk on the beach is stunning.much of that beach reminds me Of my life growing up in Ireland , tis to do with the tides. Love how your doggies bound into the ocean with such jest. In life there are many chapters, emotional up’s and downs . Yet the Integrity of your soul remains , i love this quote: *The Essence of life ; something to do ,something to Love , something to look forward to Mary Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦

I'd like to make a suggestion for the Blue Days. When you go on your Nature Walks, see if you can find patches of white clover (trifolium repens). Try finding four leaf clovers! Of course they have magickal attributes but they also give moments of pure childlike joy. Once they're pressed and preserved they make gorgeous lockets (protip: laminate them first with a UV protective film). When they're in bloom they make a wonderful healing tea as well. Good Luck 🍀

I truly do find your videos, especially this one, to be so calming & peaceful & relaxing.. The length of this video is perfect & it just emphasizes how you should really not rush, but rather, take it slow.. Your videos have also given me much inspiration, as I seek to learn all I can about the plants around me here.. I'm also soon venturing through thrift shops & antique stores looking to see what calls to me (I'll do my best to be cautious as well).. Here in Michigan, spring is near but is still quite cold in the mornings and tho the afternoons be warmer, the chill wind be quite brisk.. I'm still looking about for a great spot to forage weekly as well 🌤

The weather here has been teasing us with signs of spring. I went to Seattle today for my last Seattle trip before I move across the US, and it had pockets of sun and was just lovely. Hopefully the sun has more of a presence in the coming months for you. 💖

oh the joy of drawers and things sticking up blocking you from opening them then maybe the cold wet dog nose touching the face also helps lol on Dark days I find it best to get outside smell the fresh air and open up my senses to the living creatu8res all around including plant life even the clouds in the skys if it s raining the feel of the rain on my face and skin helps me connect and ground myself reminds of of all the magic everywhere that people take fore granted and probably have forgotten about. myself I have been trying to start both Valerian root( want tea to help me sleep a little better) and white yarrow the yarrow started to sprout but then all died ugg. yarrow should be very easy to grow from seed but I guess my place just isnt right for it. salmon berries and Huckle berrys where my go to when I younger when I would go for walks in the bush

crazy that you don´t have snow, march is full snow month here, in lappland even april is often full snow month.. of course each spring is different, almost like a person :) if i was a snow witch, then i would be happy all through winter, sadly i´m not, northern winds another safe choice, but you can´t really choose it can you :) my february-march practice was getting to know the ice better, i now live straight on the main river, which means that long after my daily walking strength is gone the river still continues.. what i´ve found out, the ice is not evil, it (maybe he) does not want to drown you, before it cracks it usually makes all kinds of warning noises.. i think some of those that the ice has taken they might have ignored those warnings! an easy way to start knowing the ice is to do like the hares do, simply follow the shores.. that´s what i did mostly, because then at least if it cracks then you have the trees right there, helping trees, always helping.. it´s the earth witches and water witches, or people.. can you be both, maybe, i´m not.. definately earth (rarely even go swimming, if you´re water i think you would not just be happy standing on the shores).

Thank for your beautiful seasonal videos. Gives great motivation to get out and welcome the spring. I’d recommend the soup. Maybe you could make a „Green Nine Soup“ (if that’s what it’s called in English, German here) it gives a lot of vitality and vitamins missing during winter and helps to drive out the cold. I guess you’re familiar if not the herbs used vary from culture to culture (although always 9) but nettle, ground ivy, plantain and goutweed are part of it most of the time. Maybe you can show us your version? Good luck and happy spring

Annie, thank you for the video, I know the feeling of being down, waiting for Spring to come, I live in New York and it has been cold and gloomy for days.. I just now have little flowers popping up, a sign, like you said, that Spring is almost here but not just yet.. My hands are anxious though to work the soil, also I am ready to gaze at the cherry blossoms and smell the intoxicating scent of the lilacs... I today will be baking, your herbal bread to be exact, alongside a pot of warm bean soup.. I love your videos, they let me know I am not alone in waiting for beautiful Spring to arrive.. Take care..

I know how you feel Anabelle. By California standards (San Francisco East Bay), we are usually in the 70's with sun mostly every day, as of now. But we have had mostly moderate to powerful rains and windstorms. (power outages, power wires down, multiple fallen trees, property damage...and worse) We have had only a smattering of full sun days since January. The beautiful signs of the Spring Equinox are all over the place. It's just the Winter Solstice wants to stick around a little bit longer.

Annie please forgive me for asking- and feel free to just delete this comment if it's too invasive - but I am curious about foods. In some other video or two that I've seen, I know that a part of your chronic illness is related to the digestive system which made eating difficult. Basically I'm wanting to say congrats if that's going well, and forgive me for being intrusive. Ive had a good stretch of health with my own chronic illnesses and just wanted to high five you.
