I wish I could have seen and heard more here! I was very happily married to a man of Hungarian descent for 35 years. He taught me about the cooking, traditional music, and culture of his grandparents. I loved cooking up chicken paprikás and gulyás (always nice and spicy!) for him. What I miss is Hungarian restaurants. They are very rare everywhere today.

No, they moved to Shaker Square and now are out in Chagrin Falls. Since the move to Chagrin Falls, the business is booming.

They temporarily closed and opened up a ghost kitchen on Buckeye Avenue inside of St. Elizabeth’s Hungarian Church until their new restaurant location opened I think in Bainbridge and they finally opened it last year. The pandemic and the fact that Coral Company that owns Shaker Square was going through foreclosure made a lot of businesses at the Square close and get up out of there. Erica from the Balaton no longer works at the restaurant-she went and got another job and now only Christina and George run it.
