Maschine was cheaper than Touch back then. I went with a Maschine Jam instead of the Touch. My budget couldn't stretch for the Touch at the time and both were controllers. Standalone put Akai MPCs back on the map

Yes If it weren't for standalone, I prob would not have an MPC. I own MPC X

Doc, please help me out! I am a newbie, wanting to make boom bap beats and be 100% sample based, and I don't mind being tethered to my laptop. I am also trying to keep my costs down, so the One, Live II, or X is out of the question. I am debating getting the MPC Studio MK2 or the MPC Touch. Which one do you recommend for me? And I will only be a hobbyist, doing this just for fun and relaxation. Thank you, Doc.
