Bit of an error/omission here: it wasn't Javier Hidalgo who served as the clone template for the Tyrants, but Umbrella military commander Sergei Vladimir. This is explained during his battle with Wesker in Umbrella Chronicles, which also reveal that Wekser is the one who supplied the necessary evidence in the Raccoon Trials to implicate Umbrella, and thus guarantee its shutdown by the Global Pharmaceutical Consortium.

Even though the series has gone from it's survival horror to more action oriented, with 7 going back to it's survival horror roots, I loved seeing the evolution of familiarity the characters have gotten from past events. Beginning games, zombies are a new threat no one knows nothing about, eventually to main characters taking them out with ease and fight bigger, badder creations.

You made a mistake, RE6 happens in HongKong not Shanghai, In the game when you choose Chris campaign the background is Chris and Piers in a helicopter. If you look at the window you can see the view out side which shows they were flying through Victoria Harbour and you can even see the famous IFC skyscraper .

Do you remember that the story in these movies was completely disconnected from the games? At least the live-action movies had interesting connections to the games, such as back story and how each monster was created. The CGI movies offered nothing.

I know this is a bit late but you missed a series of comics that takes place before RE6 where the C-Virus is first used in an academy where Piers Nivens is first introduced. The series is called the Marhawa Incident but I might've misspelled it but yeah, i found these comics just over a year ago and now that I think about it, it was before you made this video.

They forgot a key event in the series. That part in Umbrella Chronicles where Jill and Chris infiltrates the last surviving headquarters of Umbrella and fights their biggest, baddest and final creation, the T.A.L.O.S. while Wesker kills Sergei, takes control of the Red Queen and grabs what survived of Umbrella's remaining assets and resources, which he ultimately used to locate the source of Las Plagas in RE4. Then he used part of all the viruses he got, the g-virus and las plagas samples given by Ada, as well as the veronica virus he got from Steve's body, to make the uroborous. Btw, where the hell is Steve?!

Theres a manga series between 5 & 6 that's canon (The Marhawa Desire). It's only has 5 books but it follows Sheva, Piers and Chris. I wonder what else is gonna happen in the future games because I liked 7, and Im wondering if they're using that as a stepping stone to change the gameplay and direction but also keep our beloved old RE characters (hence Chris at the end and his dlc Not A Hero.) Besides from the manga and CGI movies, this was really great - if you ever update the history of the RE world I would recommend you check them out.

Resi 6 caught a lot of flak but man was it a wild fucking ride and packed with tons of content. It was like the peak of the action based Resi games that started with 4. Whacked out as shit and crazy as hell, but definitely worth the play, especially co-op. You just gotta go into it not expecting a survival horror game, but a crazy shooter and judge it based on that. I loved 7 (as a totally different kind of game), but it is kinda sad that 6 was probably the last we'll see of those types of games from Capcom for a long time.
