Those are my favorite in the Tony Hawk series as well. I consider THUG 1, 2, and American Wasteland a trilogy of sorts. Last year, I broke out my original Xbox and played through all 3 games for the first time since I was in high school. It was extremely fun.

This was my first Tony Hawk game as a kid. And this single handedly made me want to take up skateboarding. 20 years later i am still skating and it makes me happy. This game introduced me to my happy place so this will always be close to my heart

On the Sea Lion mission: You suppose to grind the bench, which would spin the fisherman’s equipment while also distracting the fisherman and while they’re distracted, that’s when you grind on the rail and release the fishes. I know it’s Convoluted, but that’s how you do it.

Dude gotta say I loved that you played the career with Kareem because that's who I always used as a kid! A little bummed you weren't as big on this one though. But to each their own. This one was actually the first one I owned back in the day so I'm a little biased on how much I like it. It brings back great memories from Christmas in 2004 when I got my first gamecube. It adds boss encounters and hidden skaters based on Konami's franchises; particularly, Castlevania and Metal Gear. It actually plays better than the one before it, but the Tony Hawk games will always be the best.

This isn't let me leave comments when we replies for some reason but yeah this game is definitely awesome I was always a big fan of the fourth one myself and the first one of course the ones in between they were okay but the first one was definitely awesome cuz it's the original and the fourth one definitely was awesome cuz they made so many good improvements it was kind of crazy that they made the game pretty much for regular PlayStation and slightly PlayStation 2. Cuz really after number for the series kind of went in a different direction and they definitely weren't the same even when they tried to go back to the roots and make Tony hawk 5 which I guess is what they were trying to do they still drop the ball big time. The best thing to put out in quite a while with the remix of The originals that just came out but even then it was only the first one and the second one. Considering there is a version on PlayStation for 1,2,3 and 4. Even if it was those versions I don't know why they couldn't have been cool and did those. Or at the very least they should have put out the first one and the fourth one but the remastered I was definitely not the only one that thought those were the best

One of the best features is the bowl at the menu screen, I spent alot of time there practicing special tricks and such , whilst listening to the soundtrack

I liked THPS 4. It was that time when they decided to do the open world thing and I was all for it. Some of the missions in Career mode were frustrating yes, but overall I had fun. I liked the new techniques like the Spine Transfer and ground tricks and it's good that they adapted them into THPS 1+2. The Underground games, American Wasteland, Project 8 and Proving Ground were all great. After those games, that's when I logged off from the series. Never bothered to get into the games that required the stupid board accessory that barely functioned. Great video as always! can't wait to see the next one!

This game has become so underrated. It has more goals than the first 3 games combined and had a huge soundtrack. They added the spine transfer, leveling out mid air, flat ground tricks, triple tap moves and the quick turn. A lot of great memories with this game on my GameCube

While THP2 and THPS3 captured many Tony Hawk fans, THPS4 was my jam. My first PS2 game and my 2nd favorite Tony Hawk game after THUG. I prefer THPS4 onwards' Career mode style over the classic style since I love free skating until I decide to go for goals. The gameplay and game engine top-notch (I honestly couldn't get used to the 5th gen games' game engine but I haven't grew up with those minus playing a bit of THPS1 on N64 at a friend's house). And while some people say that the soundtrack was weaker than the previous games, since I grew up with THPS4, its entire soundtrack always hits me with nostalgia.

I grew up with a bundle of 4 thps games for ps1. Lots of good memories and 4th was my favourite, mostly for visuals and lonely ps1 atmosphere, especially in London. Only now I realised, how poorly made it is, but still, that one black sheep, that always makes my heart warm

This was personally one of my favorites of the series, 3 had the old-school Tony Hawk feel (would've been nice if it was included in 1 + 2 as 1-3 are similar style-wise), I had a blast with this one and THUG was very enjoyable. Sadly didn't own a 360 or PS3 until late into the console's life cycle, so unfortunately THUG 2 was the last one I got to play. Was hoping for a video on THUG 1 and 2, but understandable just keeping it to the Pro Skater part of the franchise. Also, and most likely someone already said it, but for the seal mission, you are supposed to distracted the fishes by grinding the bench with their gear then grind the side to release the fish. Yeah, some of the missions aren't great, but you're also not supposed to go as fast as possible for some of them. However, fuck that elephant mission 😅 That one haunts my memories

Actually you don't need to hold R2 for a Spine Transfer. Also, if it's on any other system you need both triggers. And THPS4 was the first game that has an actual widescreen mode across all next gen versions. The bad PS1 port didn't have that. THPS3 PS1 was a masterpiece and then 4 PS1 gets butchered and is probably even worse than THPSHD. I liked the original 4 on release really much but I hate now how hard it is and I really just only like the College-Level. THUG did it better by having a choice to breeze through.
