I cannot understand any men who thinks it’s alright to hit thier wife. Especially using religious justification.

Thank you for clearifying that Mufti. As far as i had understood, the prophet (PBUH) never had hit his wifes (RA) and he is the best example and enbodyment of the Qur'an.

As i said, the prophet is the best example and enbodyment of the Qur'an meaning: he understands the Qur'an in the best way. We should follow his example in nothing hitting our wifes and building a loving and meaningfull relationship with patience from both sides. I don't think that Muslims ever argue wether any verse should be there, as we all believe it is from our lord. However the way we interpret and implement should be traced back by context and the sunnah of the prophet (PBUH) and then after that further trough the salaf.

Third time I heard about how primitively the Arab were before Islam and they had no literature meaning the Quran was the first Book that came out of Arabia. That is a sign in its self
