The whole point of the Lst Supper was the act and the words, not the utensils they used. It really pisses me off the grand chalice’s that get used in Catholic Masses, Christ would be pissed about spending hundreds of dollars on a cup, He’d rather see us use a Dixie cup and give the hundreds to the poor instead. I have the same issue with The Vatican, all the art in it, hell even the property our Cathedrals are on. The church has billions in assets while ppl are starving. She didn't "discover " the Holy grail in Valencia, it's been purported to be the real grail for centuries. The Vatican recognises it as a possible grail but doesn't go as far as saying it is the true grail. Its definitely from the right period but there is no actual evidence that it is the grail. I think that the first disciples probably did not think about what items to keep from their time with Jesus. So the theory that St. Peter might have saved the cup itself with the intention to keep it as a relic for the future religion does not hold water (no pun intended). However, it could have been an object that they always carried with them since they always moved about back in those days. It could be possible that after the last supper, these items were packed up and entrusted with one of the disciples as a logistic officer of sorts. Again, probably with no intention to keep it as a relic. Faith is a powerful thing. Some people need things such as relics to channel their mind to or on. If that helps, the item has done its job well. No judgement here.

There is no Biblical evidence that a “grail” ever existed. As Yeshua and his disciples celebrated Passover (the last supper) they would unlikely carry a golden jewel encrusted goblet. There is a very minute change Jesus touched this cup. The problem is that the cup was just a cup in the time of Jesus itself. In those time all objects Jesus touched where not seen as special. Jews did not recognized Jesus as there disciple, Christianity did not jet exist. There was no reason to treat the cup Jesus uses any different as any other (luxury) cup. The cup became the "holly grail" centuries later, when the church started to worship relicts and started to "show off" its wealth. If there where objects that could be tied to Jesus, they probably did not survive the Roman-Jewish war of 70 ad. Even if objects do remain it is never possible to prove Jesus used or touched it. At best it can be proven it is from the right region and the right era.
