A few years ago we adopted a dog from the local shelter. This dog had been rescued from a flat like the one in the video. We learned that he was left alone there for more than a week! When I worked as a Housing Management Officer our specialist cleaning teams wore special gear. We also ripped out everything flooring bathroom kitchen skirting boards doors etc and renewed the lot after spraying to kill any infestation. Complete refurbs on places like this.

Uuuuhhh....Ok, they did a great job..I mean, I've had to scrape up old dog poo off the floor before and it is a TON of work....but that floor after they mopped it was not clean. It needed a darn good sweeping before being mopped - you could see bits all over the place - and that mop was not clean. That place needed a thorough disinfecting, not a quick mop through.

This at the same time as a huge rise in homelessness over the past few years, disgusting. For every tenant like this there are 10 homeless people urgently in need of affordable social housing. People who want to better themselves, go out to work, pay rent etc and be decent citizens. I hope the council charged this 'princess' with the full cost of that clean up! If it were up to me, they'd be hunted down and forced to participate in the clean up of their own mess! There should be a blacklist for this sort of “people”. Never be allowed to rent a council housing, only private market. And if it’s too expensive, then they should manage the money themselves.
