I was an auto mechanic for 16 years, then switched to bikes/quads/3 wheelers/ sleds and personal watercraft for another 7. I've been retired for a few years now, but watching these videos and realizing that an established channel can generate thousands of dollars each month has me considering starting back up. Thanks for getting my blood pumping again! 👍

I hope you do it man but this kid started off as a moto vloger just ripping machines with his brother and shit in the back yard he has been at this for so long and legit has a new video everyday without fail he works super hard to make his channel.. the KZbinr game from what I hear can be pretty rough it’s like trying to make your wife happy.. but if you can make videos as thorough as these pretty much real time rebuilds diagnosing I would definitely watch but I feel it’s gonna be a lot of time and money before you ever see a dime from it but who knows you could go viral and be the next Justin Bieber

Yea getting the channel up n running is the hard part and reaching the requirements to make anything is hard. You basically need a couple vids to go viral in order to reach them requirements. @Lee-tp2kh If there were even the remotest of chances of being the "next Justin Bieber," I wouldn't even consider it. 🤣 Seriously though, I think I'm a bit too over-the-hill at this point to make a run at something like this. I'd say that I wish the internet existed back in my day, but that would be a lie. Imo the internet has ruined a lot of potential great things people could be doing instead of staring at a screen all day. I know it would've interfered in my life greatly had it been available back then, and I'm grateful it hadn't been invented yet.

The people who sold him this non-running 4 wheeler, after watching his fix-em-up videos, are probably really upset that they were not able to diagnose the problem correctly and buy the new relatively inexpensive CDI unit that was the thing that got it up and running again. As it turns out though, even he was stumped until one of the commenters clued him in about the CDI not being compatible with that particular 4 wheeler. That's a huge advantage for him to have the input of tens of thousands of people who watch his video. Even without his viewers' clues, he's still one hell of a mechanic.

Around 10 year's ago i got a little 90cc quad for the kids - it was at a farm and like brand new but no spark . Put it in the Volvo and headed off on the 2 hour drive home . Got it home and checked it over and oooh , the emergency pull stop switch was full of water and shorting the system like it was pulled out even though it was in . Blew the switch out and a squirt of WD40 and it started first press of the button . Think it had been jetwashed ..Still have it in the workshop waiting for the grandkids to grow a little more . BUT back in the 80's i had a small wheel KX80 that went for 2 miles then stopped dead for 3 or 4 mions then started again - a dry joint in the cdi was heating and expanding shutting it down till it cooled and the joint was re-established . Ended up cutting up a RD125lc and fitting the front engine cradle to the KX so the RD engine went in - micron exhaust and all lol ...

The TRX's were the best machines made. To bad they don't make them anymore. Love my 2007 TRX400EX.

I have a 1990 Honda Quad that runs like new. Has lost spark twice in 34 years - both times it was the CDI Box. I even bought a factory CDI the first time and it was a faulty one.

I actually got a brand new spark plug for 4 stroke single Honda that was bad right from the get go. No spark. btw, the CDI was one of the first places I would go back in the 80s.

Worked on that 96 polaris Trailboss, barely had 20 lbs compression. Oiled it up it went to bout 50. Pulled top end, it was nasty. I pulled the right gs to check gap, they were nearly 1/8". I'm guessing they were staggeredjust right so it would pop off but wouldn't run, guy said just needed carb work, it did need that too, Junk. Thought it was funny, so I wanted to share it with you.

Some Honda machines from that era have two boxes which have the same plug ins connected to the harness. One is for ignition and the other is for oil temp ect. If you get your CDI from a third party source you may end up with the wrong one. If you plug the wrong one in the wrong spot it will fry the box
