Some times it don't help.....there's a video somewhere on KZbin where a wife reported her husband missing. Car was in driveway.. keys on counter like he came home and just vanished after work....the cops searched the house, but overlooked a crawlspace. Seems he came home went into the crawlspace to put money in a jar he had secretly put in there and had a massive heart attack and died. They didn't find him till after the wife died and house was sold....

Elisabeth would have been in her early 40's when she was let out. It's insane to think her father stole her teens, 20s, and 30s from her. I've watched so many videos about this case. I feel like what happened to her was much worse than what the public know
@krollpeter
@krollpeter Жыл бұрын
You are right, a lot worse. Even this report here is a shadow only of what really was. For example, for the first 2 years he chained her, and forced here to view violent porn videos together, which he then expected to re-enact with him. Serious injuries remained from this. He is a monster, and I think what his mother did to him was the cause.

The scary thought is that if anything happened to Josef, she and her children would starve to death with no one knowing of them. Also, she must have been terrified when she gave birth, being alone and just getting a book on childbirth from Josef. Not getting exercise and outdoor fresh air and sun would be physically and mentally gruelling. Even dangerous cons get their exercise time in the "yard."

Josef is clearly a monster, however his attorney could be doing what his client requested this points more to Josef's state of mind then the attorney. Alternatively, the attorney could simply be grasping at straw to present a decent defense to prevent overturning the conviction and presenting a defense is literally his job. I do think it is odd he was able to find an attorney at all I wonder if the the attorney was court ordered to represent him...

I know my religion, and that is Christian. If you aren't that, I have no right to say you are wrong. God cannot always help, and what could he have done, nobody is perfect, not even God. Everyone should understand that even in the toughest times, God can't always help. Respectfully, whatever your religion is, how would you feel if someone on a youtube video you don't know came in the comments and disrespected how you likely have believed for all of your life? I've got one word for you as an explanation: power. I'm an incest survivor who suffered from my father's penis and fists for 8 years. I had a baby boy, miscarried but alive, whom Dear Old Dad (DOD) took from me and I never saw him again. I presume my son was killed and buried in the nearby woods somewhere. He had no name, he lived and died the same day and I don't know where he is buried, but I can tell you, the pain of rebuilding my life and my personality almost killed me. What this lady went through is utterly, indescribably horrible. It's venal and without mercy. I have searched for a very long time for a reason, and the only thing that makes any sense is that DOD did it for the feeling of utter control over the life of another. There is no sex in rape, and certainly none in incest. It's about power, power over someone who is completely undeserving, which makes it that much crueller. Fritzl probably enjoyed seeing his daughter try to find reasons for what he did and finding none, she must have gone where all survivors go. We all have a place inside us with a door in the mind that we slam shut behind us while the shit hits the fan. It can be re-opened but it takes a very long time, expert care and most of all, willingness to let in the help and to learn to trust. From a purely personal standpoint, despite what I suffered, I held out until a day when I was able to run for my life. I ended up in boarding school where DOD was Chairman of the Board f Trustees, a position for which he lobbied so that he had control of me. I went to court with my uncle, whose surname I bear to honour him, who helped me, at age 13, become emancipated. According to the divorce agreement between DOD and the egg producer (Loving Mummy) that he had to pay for all of my education. I no longer needed his signature and in him I had access to unlimited funds for education, and I took him to the cleaners: tutors, lessons of all kinds, an expensive medical school, then, having failed at that, one of the best nursing schools in the country. I continued to use his money until I had two children whom I could cherish and protect. He stopped paying at one point, but I figure in today's money, I drained him of at least a million dollars. To quote a holocaust survivor, there is one thing that no one can take from you: your education and I'm very well educated. My psychiatrist at the time said that what I suffered was worse than the Holocaust because they knew it was wrong and they had each other. I hope that this family will be able to stay together (minus the perpetrator). I still suffer, but now I have grandchildren being raised by parents who are wonderful people My daughters were protected and loved, and when I see the smiling faces of my grandchildren, I'm reminded that this is why I fought for my life. They are the result of my struggle and will never have to face such long odds. unlike others, we take our victories where they are. And as an addition, it doesn't matter what kind of childhood a person has, there comes a point at which morality and taking responsibility for one's actions have to preside over everything else.

I met Elisabeth when I was about 11 at the Restaurant Gasthof Seestern, there was also a Pension where me and my parents stayed for vacation. It was near Mondsee, a beautiful lake. In the restaurant we ate and I remember seeing Mrs Fritzl, she often talked to the guests etc. The older kids helped in the kitchen. I don`d remember seeing Mr. Fritzl, but my father said he didn`t like him, he was a "smeary guy". In the back of the restaurant near the Pension where swings and that is where I met Elisabeth. We were swinging on the swings and talking. She told me her age and I mentioned that she was a half year older than me. I remember asking her, if she would come swimming with me the next day to the Mondsee, but she refused. She suddenly looked uncomfortable. Soon we left the pension again, so I didn´t have another chance of seeing her. As I was talking to my parents in 2008 when all this came out, my mother told me that Fritzl seemed very bossy almost imperious toward his children. He seemed to rule with an iron hand. I am from Germany and my parents and me and my brother often went to Austria for vacation. I was shocked when I heard what had happened and it saddened me. Now I understand why she looked so uncomfortable and nervous when I asked her to go swimming with me.

Unless you have lived like this you don’t know and don’t understand. I don't why I watched this. ...I escaped in 1981, Texas...My offender was already elderly and died before justice could be mine. 14 other children came forth after my escape, and after my hand written account at the police station, But the bastard died days after his arrest. It has affected my life to this day, I'm sure the other victims and there families as well. However, my parents chose to just move us (me, my younger sister and brother) to another location and we were never to talk about it again. Like it never happened. No counseling, therapy, whatever. I ran away..I returned only after the promise of mental assistance, it never came. I ran away again, taking my lil sister with me, the youngest my brother was too young and very sickly relying on a machine to help him breath due to severe asthma, I couldn't take him with me. Even though we have reconnected in our adulthood , he was present at my first attack (he was 4) I have my own family now, married 32yrs and of coarse i'm over protective, and my two children are in their 30's! I have 2 young granddaughters. I attempted suicide twice almost succeeding in 2015 from a prescription overdose. I don't know why I did it, it was like I was on auto-pilot, I was blue when my daughter found me and called 911,they gave me a shot of Narcan in the ambulance is what I was told. Again, no help I was revived and sent home....then something extra extortionary happened, When my attacker was giving me mouth to mouth back in 1981 I had an outta bodylike thing happened where I was looking down at him with me under him, I could see what was happening, there was a warmth feeling over my right shoulder and I wanted to turn and look, it felt like it was beckoning me but then I was back in my body watching him stand over me. And the pain and fear took over. Then in 2017, I felt that warmth again....and when I turned to look it was Jesus Christ, And It was him then, But all the fear I carried for nearly 35yrs , and I mean a paralyzing fear was gone. Today I wait to go home....with him, this time on his terms...and I live everyday like it's my last......but I have to admit, I can't wait to go home. Jesus is coming, soon. For me, and I hope for you too, Eternity is forever, chose Jesus to take you home too. Time is short, surely you can feel the shift, the FEAR of God IS wisdom, and he is coming for Justice! Even mine. The world is changed ,nothing feels the same, safety, security, is lost, but you don't have to be...turn to him, he's probably over your right shoulder, and probably always has been. Wow........I finally talked about it sparing the horrifying details. sorry dad...

Never even cared to know where her daughter was and to check the house thoroughly or even found the babies suspicious?? It's either the mothers/wives or family members of the killers/rapist that always look away for the "safety" of their loved ones. Like they know what they are doing but they don't want their honeyboo to go to prison.

@Rachel2412able Ай бұрын
Elisabeth was not being held in the actual basement. She was being held in a secret soundproof dungeon that was hidden carefully behind seven locked doors with the door leading to the dungeon carefully concealed. You wouldn’t have found anything just by going to the basement.

my father used to sexually abuse me too, he also believes that we are identical souls and that he loves me and his abuse was a special bounding with me... wow this is just heartbreaking :( Josef and my father are victims of wars and evil parenting, and then through their inner pain the devil entered their bodies and acted accordingly// at least Josepf admitted at the end at the end that he raped and had other worst plans// my father till today cannot admit and keeps saying he needed help and i was his therapist/ damn

There's nothing great to the fact that Josef accepted his crime because the prosecution had built up a strong case against him by submitting the DNA evidence that proved that Elisabeth's children were fathered by him and besides at that the scene of cime , the basement ,there were enough evidence thatElisabeth was physically, sexually and mentally abused by Josef . The very fact that there were three doors to enter the basement and that the third door could only be opened by entering in the password in the electronic machine, besides that ,the very fact that the password was kept secret and it was known to Josef only .He knew that the truth was out there and he was a cunning evil man , who knew that if he or his lawyer or attorney argued further he could face much more severe and harsh punishment. I have no mercy for people who sexually, physically and mentally abuse children or anyone .

Well said! We share your sentiment for Elisabeth and her sweet children. The thought of him dying hadn't occurred to us, but yes, so grateful he did not. A case we're working on now actually *did*, have a similar scenario where the victims were left in the basement to die. It is soooo heartbreaking. It should be coming out in about 2 weeks, so keep an eye out.

This is seriously evil. There are no words for exactly how vile that man is. He should be held for AT LEAST for the same amount of time he held his family. I believe he should be forced to rot in prison. He would have done the same to his family; had his crimes not been discovered. To Elizabeth and her family, I hope that you are able to find peace and enjoy the rest of your lives. Know that people love and support you. The world is here to help you in any way we can. ❤

Only forgiveness bring true satisfaction and peace for us! I can not imagine how dark his life is with in him! I'm sure darker than Elizabeth and the whole family. He was always on war with in so no one around him could get peace and Joy! From the beginning to the end. Forgiveness is for us not for those hurt us! Leave them for the true vengeful God. He said I will repay! And his way is perfect!!! But we must stay away from his way by forgiving and move on with life!

There is no way the mother didn’t know. He would leave the house multiple times a day, often carrying with him, down into the basement and she never thought that was strange, especially after their daughter went missing? What about when the children kept turning up on the doorstep. She should be in prison too.

Oh, she knew, no doubt about it. Just decided that one sacrificial lamb will make life sweeter for her and the rest of the kids. Besides he spent a year in prison for rape while being married to her. And she still stayed with him. Bore him children, let him bring them up. The woman is hardly any better than her husband. Possibly Elisabeth's siblings also knew or were suspicious, but did not care enough. This family has a history of cruelty and madness. After all the parents of this monster were also quiet a pair. Unfortunately I think that there is a pretty high chance of another monster or two coming from this family.

Out of fear! The man was abusive towards everyone in the family. Unless you are made to feel worthless, useless, alone, stalked, disregarded for, trapped, vulnerable, humiliated, shamed, ignored, gaslighted to the point of breaking down, numb the pain, anger, fear, and enjoyment for life, only then, will you understand why abusers get away for so long with their devious behaviors.

You don’t even realize how grateful you are for your parents, until you hear something like this. My parents got married (both black) and my mom got pregnant with a different person (white man). The risk of a sexual assault go up 70 percent when the child is not biological. Some creeps don’t care if they are bio kids or not. But the fact my dad isn’t biological & never once, NOT ONCE, made me feel uncomfortable or inappropriate. I couldn’t imagine a father figure, someone you expect to protect you from predators, to become the one praying on you. This is Terrifying 😢😢
