I had a startling encounter with the supernatural while exploring the abandoned Horton Mine located near the massive Victorine Mine in Nevada. The Horton Mine dates back to the mid-1800s. I have been inside over a hundred abandoned mines, but this one was definitely the creepiest. As I ventured hesitantly down the tunnel, it felt more and more wrong. You'll see in the video the supernatural occurrence that caused me to ultimately turn around and head back out of the tunnel.

Tommyknockers, Frank. We were always facing problems (to say the least) with these little green miners. I must say you were wise to leave. (FYI, I was the last Fire Assayer for the Victorine Mine (Horton Mine)). These Tommyknockers were not fun. They would visit me in my lab knocking on anything, which immediately I would leave the building for fear of the mountain crashing down on me, only to see a rock rolling down onto my lab. I would cuss them when I reached for a crucible (or whatever) and it would mysteriously be across the room. (see my comment in the discussion of your video of the Victorine Mine). Many times I saw them and our miner's were invariably in contact with them in the mine. It was actually funny to see these rough and tough tramp miners running out of the mine with their faces, blackened with graphite dust, ashen from fear. Frank, don't go back in there, I warn you. I know first hand. Rene (PS I carefully tried to listen to your video for knocking...did you hear anything? Also, were there moths or bugs flying around? Check out the video at 2:37). In the early 90s my Uncle had a house in the California desert. About 50 yards behind his house there was an abandoned mineshaft. As kids still in elementary school we went back there into the mine. Walked back about 300 yards. Had old railroad mining cars, boxes of dynamite, gas masks, picks and shovels. At the back of the mine we dropped a rock down a hole and it took a full 5 seconds to hit the bottom. Not sure how far that cave went but probably several hundred feet.

Let's be realistic here. The chain swinging could've been caused by a bat, owl or some other kind of bird/animal that was sitting on the chain and flew away when the light was flashed towards it. And the negative/spooky feeling the camera man was experiencing could just be due to the place itself. He's in an abandoned mine tunnel which is at least believed to be haunted, its getting dark outside so whether there was a ghost presence or not, you would obviously start feeling uneasy just due to the surroundings.

I realize your comment is a year old, but it's brilliant & I wanted to comment that you're absolutely right that we need to listen to our 'gut instincts.' I work in the OR, and we've had surgeons to cancel/reschedule surgeries after the patient is already on the table when they've suddenly said "something isn't right. I'm scared - _really_ scared!" or "I feel like I'm going to die!" Our instincts are usually *spot on* and we ignore them at our peril. Even neurosurgeons recognize that. I've seen it with my own eyes more than a few times during my career.

My theory on what that phenomenon is inside the mine is definitely supernatural but hard to categorize. It wasn't evil, but it wasn't friendly either. It wants to be left alone, it was giving OP clear warnings that he wasn't welcomed there and the warnings got scarier and more apparent as he walked further into the mine. If someone who works with the metaphysical arts and can read energies walked in there they would probably start shaking, tearing up uncontrollably and possibly throw up because of how powerful this spiritual force was. Whatever that thing is that "lives" in there wants to be left alone and I hope it still has been. Call me crazy or something along those lines but anyone with even the slightest sixth sense wouldn't be able to go far inside without becoming overwhelmed. Even a regular guy like this knew pretty quickly this mine shaft is haunted as hell lol

@@nhantruongtrong8987 I don't think spirits have a choice on where to travel. I think when you die in a certain place your spirit sometimes gets trapped at that location. So I'm assuming many people died in that mine, which isn't uncommon at all. People still die in mines.

Reminds me of an area my friend called the Boneyard next to his house, thinking about it is making me tear up badly. He Would NEVER step foot near there at night and i found out why. When i went in past two specific trees, the wind began to pick up and the air felt extremely dense and cold, i felt unsafe and watched from every angle, fighting the urge to run out screaming and crying. Nah, I'm a skeptic who also likes to go to abandoned places and there's a million logical reason for those kind of to happen, for me 60% of the time is some fucking animal or a gecko who is startled and make random object moves. I have a rule that everytime I see something is off and kinda feel unnatural I go apeshit and instead rush towards it on adrenaline instead of being paralyzed with fear just staring at it. 99% of the time I caught glimpse of the things that caused it, and yeah it's animals.

Something I noticed; if you slow the video all the way down and look really really close, you'll notice as the chain swings to each side, it not only remains perfectly straight but something holds it there for a millisecond before releasing. If you tied a string anywhere on that chain and pulled, it would bend depending on that point, it's as if something has grabbed the entire chain at once. If this is real, then this gives considerable insight into the capabilities of paranormal telekinesis. I think that thing was not grabbing on to the chain at all, I think this is legit telekinesis, was probably watching him and that was likely a warning. (If it's real) If you look, the chains going deeper into the mine progressively swing more violently. Right after he says I'm out of here, the chains remain in full stride, however the main chain has a slightly longer hang time, as if what was controlling it was thinking and just held the chain there for a bit longer. This little details reveal a lot about what's actually going on.
