Thank you! This was recorded just with a GoPro Hero 10 + media mod and either Rode Wireless Go mic or a shotgun mic. Food closeups or lower light on my iPhone. I have to keep it fairly cheap and simple for now as my channel is still small. Thanks for your support!

Thank you very much for such a beautiful video. Please also visit Shah Abbasi Hotel in Isfahan which is the most beautiful historical hotel in the Middle East. Our cuisine is also very good.

Persian gardens actually predate Islam/the Quran. The word paradise actually derives from Old Persian pairidaeza, pairi meaning "around" (think peri-meter) and daeza meaning "wall." Basically, it meant "walled enclosure." The Greeks saw a garden in the middle of a desert as a paradise and took its name to mean that, rather than just a garden or fortress.

Which month and day were you in this region? Because Iran has an incredibly diverse climate system from the south to the middle of the country and further north. There are only some areas that get super hot near the summer. But the desert portion which is not that large compared to the rest of the country is fairly nice in the late fall and winter.

Certainly I wasn't there in the hottest part of the year, that would be too much! I was there sometime in late September. It was fairly hot but not unbearable. It actually felt hotter down at Qeshm due to the humidity

I would love to hear more about how you organized your trip. How did you find your guide? What did he charge? I find it fascinating that you traveled and filmed all over Iran given the political climate and tensions

@Chris Kermis hi Chris, thanks for replying. I've gone down the rabbit hole with your channel and have loved your style of travel videos. I just finished your Iran series and see you listed the name of your travel guide and the tour company. Iran looks fantastic. Thanks to your videos, I would love to plan a trip there eventually when the political situation improves - something that I wouldn't even have considered prior to "meeting you"! All the best with your channel and travels.

Good to hear! 🙂 I hope you make it some day and certainly at a safe time. I wasn’t there at the best time of course but that couldn’t be helped as the protests started just after I arrived.

Kerman is my hometown. You didn't go to Kerman's bazar?
@ChrisKermis
@ChrisKermis 2 жыл бұрын
I did just before leaving, and that’s actually a big part of the next video which airs at 6pm CET on Sunday 11th (tomorrow). Much was closed when I was there as it was a holiday but I had an amazing time trying nuts and spices there. Only a fraction made it into the video as I didn’t want to bore people!

@@ChrisKermis I go back and visit every 3 years or so. At lease twice I must go to the bazar and walk the entire length from one end to the other, and you may not believe it but I truly get high just by being present; a unique type of euphoria. Must be because of childhood memories mixed with the beauty and age of the place.

Yeah, that's because I haven't done the subtitles yet. KZbin has been really slow in its auto creation that I then fix manually. The. auto generated ones are a handy start but with plenty of errors. anyway, glad you liked the video!
