The House of the Dead - Mobile - Underground Waterway Route

More gameplay. This time I tried using the Motion Control and video output capture. It's was a bit of a challenge to play since the video output doesn't mirror both on the phone and the computer so I had to look at my monitors while turning around 360°.
Which method would you rather prefer? This direct capture or the external recording one?

I actually had to buy the original Japanese phone that it was pre-installed on. I haven't found a way to extract the game from the phone yet though. That's old tech for you.

While the recording quality is a step up I can tell you're struggling to play the game due to the recording circumstances. I'm personally okay with the external recording since that was pretty close in quality, and it will be easier for you to record. Some thoughts on the game itself: It's satisfying to see some of the level geometry get used that went unused in the original game, like the creature coming down the stairs right before the Chariot boss battle. Also lol Chariot went down in one shot

That last bit is kinda funny, but as we can see it could be because the game is just a demo release (体験版, aka "test version").

Well... I was curious what the Chariot fight would be like in the mobile version. Sure didn't expect it to be over that quickly, lmao Is this a demo version? Or are you supposed to select the other chapters from the menu every time you complete one of em? If that's the case, does that mean all the bosses get defeated in one hit too?! XD

@@egregiousguy the n3ds definitely can handle it, there is a similar style game for the ds called touch the dead, but is not nearly as good as the house of the dead 2

Yes, this is on a Japanese Vodafone v501sh from the early 2000's.

It does take some getting used to. The motion controls are very finicky and goes haywire sometimes. I did get caught in the wiring to my video capture card once so that's something to keep weary of when trying to record gameplay.

I didn't download this. I bought the original Japanese phone that had the game pre-installed. Currently, there isn't a way to extract the game from the phone either.

Just the first chapter. The phone only came with a trial version and there seems to be no way to access the full version.

I wish I could but the phone was from the mid 2005's and there isn't a way to connect the phone to a PC for data transfer like the way things are nowadays. This isn't a standard java game either, it's a vodafone v-appli.
