I used to own TRX Rustler VXL, and it was fast, real fast but it suffered too much under steer and it felt heavy a times to drive. it was a good ST, but HPI E-Firestorm Flux, is even better, it is also fast and it handles corners alot better, it cost less than the Rustler, it is more tunable,it is lighter, and also durable and this thing drives so darn smooth. I Never regret i bought it.

I have one also, do you think I can put some 2.8 trenchers on the back and some 2.2 Badlands on front to get more grip?

True, had the first gen for 7 years without anny problems, only had to swap tires, went through 3 bateries and 4 years of use before I had to fix the driveshafts. Kinda sad that this once leading brand is now just selling overpriced cars.

Best 2wd ST basher ever made and HPI discontinue it and bring out its sister, the jumpshot, or as I call it, the Junkshot. Now we can’t get parts for the 100s of thousands of Firestorm owners. Way to go HPI, way to go. Whoever made that decision should be sent away and locked up for their own safety. What a massive error.

I bought a roller kit (HPI e-firestorm without motor and esc) and I put leopard 4370 kv motor and 60A ESC EZ run with programming card, lipo 3S

I have the previous generation flux edition of this truck, and I must say it's a blast to drive. It's a better driving truck than the rustler. It's not quite as indestructible as the rustler but better handling. I own both and I love my E-Firestorm!

How much stronger is the new MMH-4000kv motor compared to the old Vektor 4800kv? I can get the old one for 320 with everything included or this new version for 400, what do you recommend?

Burned my esc after a couple of runs with 3s lipo battery WITH the bonus speed pack installed. Someone else got heating problem on 3s lipos? My engine is untouchable after 10 minutes of driving. Is this normal?

What's the top speed running 2s lipo?

Not got anything to mesure mine with, but i would say 35-40mph on stock gears. The speed pack makes a lot of differance to it. 3s is a bit pointless as it just wheelies at near full throttle. And my esc has packed up after 4 runs.

I use mamba monster ESC in my E-firestorm, but 3s lipo is plenty enough for me :P
