Just discovered this band ( human beast)after reading Danny Bakers book " going to sea in a sieve" . Danny had quite a few back in the 70's. As a kid he didnt know the value of them & shot most if them. !!!

Super show- thanks for sharing. I bought the early run of Seelie Court releases I know Jon (one of the collector guys who provides acetates and certain rare releases to the label) I have absolutely no reason to suspect that the label is being anything other than honorable and I know they have reached out to contact the original artists where possible. Some even carry artist endorsements- unlike most reissue labels that I know...... I think, due to the quality and condition of some of the source material the listening experience is not what you would wish for but it great that we can get to hear this musical marginalia and buy it should we so decide. I strongly recommend the “Masterpeace” lp - one of the first 10 or so released. My copy of Isolation is due to arrive any day soon- post from the UK has slowed to a trickle!

The Human Beast are among my favorite albums! I got the german copy as well, many times the german issues sound better than the UK counterparts. I have compared albums by Fuzzy Duck, Ginhouse and Human Beast among others and I actually prefer the sound on the german copies. Congratulations to a monster album!

Awesome purchase and congratulations on the 1970 German Human Beast pick up, super sweet!! I have the the Akarma reissue, I had that Slave album, it just never resonated with me so I sold it, in most cases I do that I regret or wished I didn't lol, I never heard that Sergius Golowin album before, I have that same Mops reissue, Love the cover art, the music is good, but like you said, too bad there wasn't more original material cause they definitely were talented, I need to give their other album Iijanaika a re-listen, great video ✌☮

Reeeeally wanted Human Beast after last year's revisit. Yeah the Slave isn't going to bowl many over, but I dig the energy on there.

An original 1973 (?) German copy of that Sergius Golowin LP was an utterly random and amazing charity shop find about 25 years ago. I remember pulling it out of the rack, examining the artwork and condition and thinking "wow, that's my cheap weird record karma used up for the next 6 month" Kept it for about 10 years, then sold it on for 300x more than I paid for it and bought the CD (kind of the pattern regarding all my rare record finds over the years as I'm not precious about owning OGs)

@@PsycheDerek. Now if I could just do that once a week rather than once a year I'd earn a decent living. Enjoying your content by the way. Nice to find a record finds channel with genuinely interesting finds.

Wow Human Beast, never seen a copy. Huge acquisition there. But have to say the Slave LP...I went and clicked buy immediately on a cheap copy. Sounded wonderful. I ignored it because that label, Seely Court, put out a few reissues previously which I bought and didn't really care for. Already sold one of them. But with this you said the magic words...UK folk psych, lo-fi and 99 copies. I'm in! So stoked for that to arrive. Killer though Derek. Look forward to you putting on the journalist hat!

I was trying to hold off for a minute on purchases till I acquired the Beast. Glad I waited! I forgot to mention about Slave, mostly subdued guitar but with a tremolo effect on nearly every song. Though not memorable songs at first, I enjoyed the whole thing honestly!

I just got that Slave today, not bad, not great but interesting to say the least.

Not one that would get regular spins, but I certainly enjoyed the vibe they pushed out.
