After watching this I trusted my instinct and bought one last week. Mine is 20yrs old with 150k and it's surprisingly quiet on rough roads. My steering isn't loose my body doesn't roll and as a non City dweller who lives off dirt roads, I found it's the best riding vehicle I've ever been in. It's very comfortable and feels like a pillow on rough roads at 50 miles an hour. It is a bit ridiculous for City people though. I pulled a semi truck and trailer off of a four-by-four only road yesterday. A Jeep showed up and turned around because he didn't knew he didn't have a prayer pulling a semi. These things are like a Jeep but for men. I get all the quirky things and the cheap gm stuff but for performance and reliability this thing is serious. By the way I'm getting 13 MPGs in the city.

I have owned my h2 since 2006 and after 12 years it has been the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned and had basically no problems. Mine does not rattle like the one you drove and the seats are very comfortable even after a 17 hour straight drive from FL to MD. It is wide and so you can’t park in small lots. It is also tall and I took off the racks so I could fit in parking garages and my garage. The handles on the hood are what you grab to pull the hood up after you unlatch the side clamps. Honestly unless you own one and have experienced the long lasting durability, well your view is only limited to the short rental time.

I saw an H2 that was lifted and boy did the engine sound awesome these vehicles get 500,000 miles and that is really reliable that's if you keep maintenance and of course enjoy the hefty belt Hummer because it weighs between 6500 and 8500 lb and that is a really good connection to the Earth and great traction it being so heavy and getting through a lot of rough terrain. I really like this vehicle and the reason it gets 11 miles to the gallon is because it's so heavy they're just isn't anything that much heavier than this and it's got some nice curves the way it's laid out and it just looks very intimidating and a really good machine to drive off road. Thanks for the review I might buy one of these.

Regarding the rim design and the tire inflation system on the H1: I don’t think it’s a bad thing. It’s a cool throwback to the original Hummer and I believe if any other car had something similar, Doug would like it and commend it. It’s not like a fake vent, intake or exhaust, it’s not supposed to make anyone think “oh look, that H2 has a central tire inflation system” and nobody even would (most people probably don’t know the story of it anyways). All in all, I think it’s a nice throwback and I like the way it looks

Dear All, The presenter of this video has some sort of hatred towards the Hummer H2, as a Hummer H2 owner i do not agree about what he say, specially misleading the public. Hummer H2 is half the price of a Hummer H1 and when it was launched it was the best most capable SUV other than the Hummer H1. Hummer H2 has a fully boxed chassis with a standard rear locking differential and it’s made bigger than other offroad vehicles not only to stand out as a iconic vehicle but also to conquer obstacles other vehicles cannot overcome. Simply to do things that a Hummer H2 does, other vehicles need lift kits and added skid plates. If you want to know more info about the H2 see the video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2K0e3SOi7GHl8U Hummer H2 greatest achievement is its strength in the body and chassis its 2900kg of high strength steel and galvanized body, in a head on collision it performs better than any other SUV. Also Hummer H2 can tow heavy objects, even though its rated as 8000 Pounds it can easily pull a stuck Buss/Lorry that is several times its weight (20000-3000 Pounds) its all because of its strength and durability. And after 5 years its production ended (due to rising oil prices) still its rated among top 3 of the vehicles with the highest resale value, its all because of its strength and durability. I was lucky enough to own a H2 and test its capabilities, even if i couldn’t afford one i will never hate it, because thats what my Buddhist teachers teach me, if you cannot achieve something in this life do good Karma and keep an ambition to obtain it in next life, so you will achieve it. Thanks for reading, and never learn to hate things other people love. I will not reply for any hateful messages. Regards David
@EliteProductions31296 жыл бұрын
David Huntington Because other people like something, you can't be critical of flaws? Get real. That's the such a backwards and sensitive way of thinking.. People can have their own opinions and think for themselves. Just because people don't like something, doesn't mean their opinion has to affect you at all.
@michaelbanks35716 жыл бұрын
Actually his first criticism is the fact that the H2 is like basically a Hummer for people who can't afford the real thing... Also I'm not sure how he is misleading anyone. All of his criticism accurate.

I owned one and loved it so much. I cried when I traded it in for my Jeep Wrangler. I miss my Hummer.

Those are my two favorite vehicles! Now that you have the Jeep Wrangler do you still love the Hummer more? Or both the same? 🙂
@TerrisaVenus2 жыл бұрын
@@jenma9377 I was more attached to the Hummer but I enjoyed getting some aggressive tires and rims on my Jeep. Almost even but I say the Hummer had a slight edge.

not really , it has a large 32 gallen tank. so full tank you get about 370 miles. its just not effecient, but you can drive it for a long time because of the large tank size.

No joke. On the test drive, as soon as I moved that shift lever, I would've said to the salesman, "What the fuck is this?! If the manufacturer is doing this right to your face, what kind of shenanigans are under that hood? That dashboard that was designed by a 7 year old ain't helping. I can already tell you that this is a big NO."

One of my neighbors as a kid, who was my dad’s friend had one of these in early 2000’s. He used to drive the absolute piss out of this, driving it everywhere and as kids, we loved riding in it because it was high up off the ground, you saw them in the movies and had a nice rumble to the exhaust. I remember he floored it every time he accelerated and had to get it serviced so many times. They also had a viper, old 60’s corvette and some other cool stuff. Ahh the mid 2000’s, pre-2008 were some wild times.
