THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.

THIS MOVIE WAS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE! Katniss was great, as always. Peeta was so much better, they got the arena just right, AND THE VISUALS WERE PERFECT; SO ACCURATE TO WHAT I SAW IN MY MIND. My only regret is how they didn't show Katniss watching Haymitch's video tape about how he won The Hunger Games. Still, I'd definitely give it a 10/10. Another great thing, THE MUSIC. I NEED THE SOUNDTRACK.

The scene when Johanna strips in the elevator is so damn funny, everyone at the movies were laughin hard! This movie is pure perfection!! The Discrict 11 scene was very emotional, one of my faves! Just watched it yesterday here in Brazil and I can't describe how happy I am with the final result for this film. Plan to watch it again at least a couple times, as I already cannot wait for 'Mockingjay I&II'. Every time I hear someone complaining that "the first part of the film was boring", or "the arena scenes didn't last long enough" I feel jolts of joy and am deeply thankful to everyone involved for not making one of my favourite series pure commercial crap, it shows total respect for the source material, put up in a brilliant way. Collins' harsh critics to our society is still there plain and clear for everyone who wants to see it!

I was watching the movie, and I when I was watching the ending scene, in the hovercraft, I saw that Finnick had a bandage around his right arm like Katniss did, meaning that they included that his tracker was cut out. That was a small thing I missed but I'm so glad I realized that, because that is something AWESOME that they included, so I applaud them for that :DDDDD

The fact that they hold so true to Rue in the story gives me the goosebumps. That's where the revolution started after all. They still use Rue's whistle theme at the end of every trailer, but in this trailer they also use "Rue's Farewell" from James Newton Howard (a pimped version)...it's just GREAT!!!

Watched it last night! TRULY AMAZING! I was an emotional wreck. MUCH better than the first movie. Very amazing! Johanna Mason was hilarious. AND THE SUGAR CUBE SCENE WAS THERE :D! But they left out the pocket watch Plutarch was supposed to show her! But everything else was there. Quite a few things were left out but. Truly amazing!

tbh the things that were left out weren't really that relevant in the first place. I know the pocket watch wasn't there but it was better, for the people who hadn't read the book, to try and figure it out without the hint. Also with the Gale getting whipped thing, it made more sense for him to attack a peace keeper rather than selling a turkey. The film was amazing but I still think it should be a 15 because 6 year olds shouldn't be watching it because its very brutal and in your face. And I saw it on Thursday!!!

(SPOILERS) They truley did follow the book... a few things missing, but overall it followed the book. I can tell you what was missing, nothing major. But the way they covered up the 3 or 4 missing parts is flawless. The ending... had the realization of the last shot of Peeta was the last time we'll see him for awhile. The two people Katniss talked to in the woods about District 13 isn't there, Katniss hurting her back, the Avoxes, Katniss and Peeta studying the previous victors' games on the train... just a few I can remember off the top of my head. But overall the movie follows the book to a T. Once the games start, it's a roller coaster until the end.

Just my opinion, but I feel that the hunger games series is depicting our agenda 21 future 75 years after the 2nd american revolution, which in the story the government defeats the revolution, destroying every ideology of america and creating a new country called panem. So book 3 is pretty much depicting the 3rd american revolution. and I highly suggest read the books, there is a ton of information about the history and origin of panem. In the intro of book 1 it even says that panem rose from the ashes of a place once known as north america.
