Charlie and Vaggie are best couple. So there is actually a theory that the original genesis story had lilith as the first woman, made from earth as adam, but adam wanted to be dominant over lilith, she refused to let him on top of her when they made love which angered adam, he then complained to gods angels, who then told lilith if she wanted to stay in paradise she had to be subservient to adam so she left, thats why god made eve from adams rib, so she would be "lesser" than adam and he would rightfully be dominant over her. The theory also states the scrolls mentioning the original genesis were destroyed or hidden by the priests of the time to discourage women from believing that they are equal to men in gods eyes. Its quite interesting if you look into it...though its much darker than what i've put here (forewarning)

This show is absolutely amazing so far. Great characters, banger songs, an intriguing story with massive stakes, I can't wait to see where it all goes. Also, I like how the angels are portrayed as more evil than the demons. And that they say these demons "earned their damnation" when Adam was the one who committed the original sin. If anyone deserves to be stuck in Hell forever, it's him.

Lucifer is the King of Hell and as well as the ruler of the pride ring (Habin Hotel takes place) and Satan is the ruler of the wrath ring (which we saw in episode 5 of Helluva Boss)

The religious lore: The bible comes from a collection of ancient manuscripts gathered over multiple thousand years. Which manuscripts were included depended largely on where in the world you were located. The manuscript about Lilith was one of those manuscripts, though the manuscript about Eve predates Lilith by 500-1,000 years, so while all the versions included Eve, only some of those also included Lilith. When people decided to form one consistent version of the bible to be used everywhere, many manuscripts did not make the final version - Lilith was one of the discarded manuscripts. The story is basically that God made Adam and Lilith both from the earth, as equals, but they did not get along. While Lilith was content with this, Adam was not and complained to God that Lilith did not listen to him. God decided the fighting had to stop and since Adam was the one who asked for help, Adam was the one chosen to stay in the garden and lead humanity. Eve was made from Adam’s rib to ensure she would always be subservient to him and God told Lilith to leave the garden. The fact that Lilith did not submit to Adam has caused her to be used in modern pop culture as a feminist icon (though I think the fact that she was never actually told to obey Adam in the first place kinda defeats the point). Lilith obeyed, but she strayed further than God had wanted, leaving the land of Eden completely. So God sent a group of angels to go retrieve her. But before bringing her back, they decided to have sex with her, leading to her having a reputation of being a seductress. But when they did, she spawned hundreds (maybe thousands? unclear) of demons as a result and thus was not permitted to return to Eden. This got her the title Mother of Demons. I’m pretty sure the angels fell later, either as part of Lucifer’s rebellion or when God decided that angels having sex with humans was no longer permitted because there were too many giants roaming the Earth (which is actually included in the modern version of the bible). But either way, I’m pretty sure they did not stay in Heaven. As for Lucifer lore, the bible does reference him a few times - he is a fallen angel (for the sin of pride), he led a rebellion against God and he (and his army) became the first fallen angel(s). But I’m not sure how much of the rest of the story has biblical basis - there was a popular work of fiction about Lucifer’s fall that was, like, canonized by the church at one point in time and I don’t remember which details came from which source. But the story is that Lucifer (the devil) was originally an angel. But he thought that anything that made humans happy was good for them and he was so prideful that he thought he knew how to properly take care of humans better than God did. So for the sake of humanity, he led a rebellion to overthrow God. Of vourse, he failed and God cast him away, thus officially creating Hell. And bonus info - the reason you cannot be redeemed after going to Hell is because Hell isn’t a place; it’s a state of being. Once you die, you do not have a body - a soul is abstract; it doesn’t take up physical space so it does not exist in any physical realm. It’s not actually conscious or making decisions, so it cannot really learn or change. And of course, Lucifer genuinely thinks he knows what is best for humans, so the devil doesn’t torture souls. The torture is the fact that they are separated from God. Being separated from God is itself pure agony. And Hell is just separation from God. So redemption after death is literally impossible. Of course, that is not how the modern church views Hell (well, it’s how every catholic priest I’ve spoken to views it, but not any of the lay peope). And the current depiction of Hell as a place containing literal fire and brimstone is centuries old, so that view isn’t exactly new. But in the original biblical manuscripts, it doesn’t seem like Hell was ever meant to be an actual place, more just the general state of suffering one experiences when God rejects them. Oh, and Satan is not the devil. Satan is a general in Lucifer’s army. He is extremely powerful and is often the demon sent to temp and/or possess people. But not actually the devil. The devil is Lucifer.

In the original story, Adam & Lilith wanted to be dominant during intercourse, neither wanted to submit until Lilith had enough and fled the garden of Eden. Adam became lonely, so God used his rib to create Eve. Lilith became powerfull by mating with Demons, she turned herself into a snake to tempt Eve to eat the forbidden fruit.

So, just a small theory, but I don't think Heaven itself in the show is bad. I think what's happening is Adam has gone mad with power and just is going to kill all of hell despite the wishes of the elder angels(I think that's what they were called) who seem to be stand ins for a god figure. I think this because Adam's most notable act ever is disobeying and falling to temptation despite having one of the highest positions possible(He literally got to live in The Garden with God until he ate the fruit). I dunno though, just a theory I came up with, because Adam and the exorcist lady seem really sinister for holy beings.
