Death Grips has been my favorite band for about two years, but I've known The I.L.Y.s for longer. Maybe that's why I think this album is just as good - if not better - than a lot of Death Grips' stuff

@@lorenz0 while I've known of Zach Hill since about 2013 because he was (*very* temporarily) the drummer of my old favorite band called "Wavves", I first heard of The I.L.Y.s when one of their songs randomly showed up in my "discover weekly" playlist on Spotify in about 2017. Took me about a year after finding Death Grips to figure out that Zach Hill is also in The I.L.Y.s... to say that I was really shocked to find that out would be an understatement. For awhile I thought, "huh, The I.L.Y.s has their music on the Death Grips KZbin channel... They must be really good friends or something" lol

If that's how you see it then fine, but every musical project that Zach Hill is attached to just seems like it's different for the sake of being different. I agree with you that it's insane, but to me it sounds like it's insane because it's just guys throwing shit at the wall. Mixing different things hoping that it sticks, which IMO it hardly ever does. Can't get into it, I thought it was decent at best
