Yes Kai is one of the fittest players in the league. He is getting round the pitch, making tackles interceptions and then his hold up play is excellent even with a decent return on goals. It could be a master stroke by Arteta and Edu for identifying what they needed!

Those stats are somewhat misleading. He only starts at 9 when Partey or Jorginho starts in the holding midfield allowing Rice to move up. The whole thing is balanced better with Partey in the Holding, Rice in the Box2box and Havertz up front. That being said it is wonderful!

Kai Havertz was mocked and rightfully so, Arteta brought him in to play the role Xhaka was playing and it did not work! When he was moved into his natural position he shines, he did this at Chelsea but no one was able to link up with him; especially with his runs and his height. Havertz is improving himself and the team in the false 9 role. However, with City around, not sure if Havertz is enough to win us major honors. Arteta has done some good work, but he also needs to be less stubborn and not overthink. Everyone could see that Havertz is better as center forward than as midfielder. Also, everyone can see Partey is one level above Jorginho. Once Partey was fit, he should have played at Bayern and Villa, but he didn’t. Bottom line, a lot needs to improve for us to win.
