The Center for Journalism & Democracy at Howard University is the first-of-its-kind academic center committed to strengthening historically informed, pro-democracy journalism. Nikole Hannah-Jones, the founder of the Center and Knight Chair in Race and Journalism, shares the mission how the Center for Journalism & Democracy ensures investigative journalism’s role in upholding democracy and to educate and unify HBCU journalism students from across the country on the importance of investigative journalism.
