Watching this video while crocheting!! I started crocheting to use my hands rather than scrolling on my phone while on the train, watching tv etc. I loved this video as hobbies are so important.

Love this, and loving your content I’ve been binging it. I’ve been trying to dedicate more time to myself and doing the things I love. So often I find myself not following through on things I want to do because I talk myself out of it. I’m currently watching this whilst making my first reading journal, I saw a video of yours last night and had thought to myself ‘I’ve always wanted to do one of those, why haven’t I?!’❤❤

Firstly, thank you for watching!! Appreciate you. Secondly, I really resonate with that and I’m so glad you’ve managed to make time for yourself and found something new to try 😋 you don’t have to stick at it if you change your mind but the trying it for the first time is usually the hardest part!

This is honestly so relieving to hear! I am always fearful of the question cus I haven't worked in years (due to not knowing what to do after college) and growing up Chinese, there's a very strong association with the career to self-worth and it took me so long to realize that I'm way more than that. My personality makes me who I am, so I completely understand when you ALSO said the hobbies don't entirely make the person who they are, but how is it not one of the best ways in getting to know what kind of person a person if not through their likes/dislikes as a start, right?

I finished a book for the first time and meditated for an hour last week and it's honestly a moment of mental clarity! I do want to consider revisiting even more of my old hobbies, but my friends and I aren't on the same page in life, so I'm opting for some solo hobbies instead. Thank you for taking your time in making this videos!

Absolutely agree! Trying new things can help bring you closer to yourself aswell through learning your own likes/dislikes too. I’m in awe at the hour long medication as I struggle so much to meditate! I do love group hobbies but I’m biased and think solo hobbies are the best because then you don’t have to rely on people 🤭 thank you for watching 🫶🏼

I’ve wanted to start doing pottery but haven’t because I don’t have anyone who wants to go with me, but I’m researching classes this week that I’m going to do by myself!

@@charlotte.michelle I've struggled with my OCD quite badly especially after the pandemic and the feeling of losing years from my early 20s really messed with me because I felt like a shell of who I could have been if I hadn't been in lockdown. Last year or so I've been making challenges to do things just like you did and it's so refreshing to hear I'm not alone. There's too much weight on corporate success rather than personal gain and growth so thank you, you've become one of my comfort creators ♡♡

I really used to struggle with this 🥲 I literally just googled hobbies to see what other people were doing and tried bunch of free options till I found something I would like! Or maybe look at things you used to enjoy when you were younger? X
may reading wrap up
