Hippos are the third-largest living land animal, after elephants and white rhinos.
Hippos spend "up to 16 hours per day in the water," according to National Geographic. In shallow water, hippos can often stand with their heads reaching above the surface. Hippos have high eyes and noses, so they can be nearly submerged in water while still being able to see and breathe, according to BBC Earth.
They spend day in water, night on land for grazing for about 5-6 hours. They usually remain close to home watercourse during night-time feeding.
In this video, Hippos, Elephants and Yellow-billed stork can be appreciated while in their natural habitat!
