I don't think people realize how cheap PC gaming can really be when compared to console gaming. The real money saving comes from cheap games/no subscription fees.

They really don't, I build a cheap 'gaming' pc out of an old dell inspiron 660s, it had a celeron g470 (i think, it was a single core @2ghz with hyperthreading) in it initially and 4gb of ddr3 ram. I upgraded the cpu to an i3 2120t for 40$ and the ram I had laying around so i upgraded it to 8gb. It was decent as is but intel hd 2000 had definite limitations, i spent 100$ more and bought an MSI GTX 750 ti low profile, cut a hole in the top of the case to accommodate it, and boom, the thing handles games, even modern AAA titles at med/high 1080p 60fps

I'm addicted to your video's, Im sitting here wondering "Why does this guy only have 111,176 subs". Your channel is so different, I find that other PC builders that do what you do seem to have me falling asleep, however you spice it up with pure cinematic gold. Crushing that virus plagued hard drive made my day. I felt like I could actually connect with the emotional feeling you had towards the viruses. Sometimes I find myself having the same feeling towards my AMD processed computer, it's a older AMD chip and it bottlenecks my Radeon rx 480 GB. It made me so mad that someone of your cinematic ability could only understand. One day my stream crashed my starcraft 2 twice in one stream, I then became so angry, That I instantly logged on Ironsides website and built a computer, I dropped 2,500 just so the only thing that would be crashing was the games from the massive amount of crossfire and Sli I can run off the motherboard. I had to do it, it had to be done. Hopefully you can relate to these feelings, I feel like i'm stuck running windows 98, no one can take me seriously with a PC of this nature. Keep up the good work sir.

Adrian C. Chase Nice, I'm thinking about upgrading to a i5-2500k soon. What card did you have paired up with the i5 - 2400?
@AdrianCChase8 жыл бұрын
☆ LegendaryC4 Before I had a system with the i5-2400, 8gb and a gtx 750, it was pretty good for games, it lacked a bit with dying light however. I built a new system however got some good deals and managed to get my hands on an i7-3770 and a gtx 770, the i7 is definitely much faster in benchmarks and multi-threaded applications. In real world performance haven't really noticed any difference. Anyhow, if you are upgrading I would only suggest going from i5 to i7, going to another i5 gets just a minimal performance gain, and no noticeable speed increase in everyday tasks.

Ugh, the r9 380. That card has been notorious for constant driver crashes in certain games. When it works, it works as a great midrange card - but when it doesn't work, your entire computer goes into lockdown mode. I suggested my friend get one over a gtx 960 for the slight performance increase while remaining in the same price range - I felt like a real tool when he tried to launch Fallout 4 and started crashing left and right. Sometimes it would be fine and he could game for hours before it happened, othertimes it would happen within minutes - but one way or another, it eventually happened. Apparently it's a pretty widely known issue, I found hundreds of threads regarding it but no known fix.

Hey man! This is the first video of yours I've seen, and you definitely have just earned yourself a new sub, and a new fan. While, I came for the used pc build, your cinematography (loved the epic b-rolly type fire stuff. That was cool.) and the whole "story telling" feel to the video really set you apart in a good way. I also want to say, I really like the overlays you were using during the benchmarks. I'm not really sure what about them exactly, but they are just different enough. I, as I'm sure many others are constantly bombarded with the exact same style of build/review/benchmark video, that they have become so boring, I often find myself just skipping right to the conclusion. I Just wanted to tell you that I really like the more creative, "film-makery" type vibe that your channel has, while also providing great tech/gaming content. I see you're getting close to 100k! That's exciting! I also noticed that a good number of your videos have more views than you do subscribers, which is really impressive. Normally it's the opposite. This is getting really long, so I'm gonna leave now. lol. Just a fellow tech enthusiast wanting to tell you that I really like the direction you're taking your channel. I'm looking forward to more great content! :-)

Awesome video. I was going to like at the end of the video, but then I heard the Wii Sports music. And liked immediately.

I get that Dell is kind of a punching bag for PC enthusiasts, but I fucking love the cases on their newer computers like the one in this video.

After watching this video, I decided to pick up my own incredible i5 Dell. I found mine used with a Radeon 7870 2gb and a 500w EVGA power supply. Thank you for the inspiration. I'm super excited.

Another great Green Ham video. Just built an i5 rig myself! That finger-crossing moment before you hit the power button for the first time is real... Also, I thought the destruction scene was totally worth the loss of a hard drive. A hearty thumbs-up for entertainment. (Guys - it was for the video. Pretty sure he doesn't do that every time a virus comes along.) I guess enough people made ASMR comments on your videos that you decided to recommend an actual ASMR channel, huh? ;) Maybe I should get into that...

IMO, your best video so far. Though idk why this didn't pop up on my feed. Thought KZbin fixed their shenanigans. Also, beer please.
