This game would have been so much more successful, competitive wise, if it had better netcode. Even ARMS had rollback, for the Elder Gods' sake! That shows how behind Bandai Namco was on the curve on improving online gameplay.

@@DaGreatCedji Yes but unless you're down for either waiting a long time for a match to pop or playing during specific hours, it's now kinda sorta a "Discord Fighter", aka you gotta join server for consistent matches. Worth it though, the community is really friendly and open to teaching new/returning players.

Came in before watching it, and just wanted to say that everyone slept on this game IMHO. If it wasn't for the public reception of, "Oh, it's just Tekken for Kids", those people needed to get away from the stove because one of my favorite characters is actually ranked lower in the tier rankings... And I kicked ass as them during story mode. Very good game IMHO, just needs a very good competitive scene.

As a person that would rather watch than play a fighting game (unless it’s The annual easy to pick up mortal Kombat, Naruto, or Dragon ball) This game is one of the only ones I’d love to take the time to get good at, if a sequel comes out I’ll dedicate the time to learn it. It reminds me of a Pokémon game I had on GameCube me and my brother (RIP) would play. But unleashed allowing them to move freely instead of being turn based. Cool game, great time for sure

I didn't like Machamp at first before Pokken cause I thought he looked ridiculous, but after seeing him in Pokken, I enjoy Machamp cause of his "I'm gonna kick your ass and flex afterwards" personality. If they ever make another pokken I hope they add Mawile so I can enjoy playing it more. More of an Entei fan cause of the 3rd movie.

So now why can’t we get a triple A story driven rpg title from pokemon? Imagine a mainline game with amazing graphics and anytime you had to battle it was like this against the computer. Maybe have a different mechanic for catching pokemon in the wild unless it was a legendary. They would be like boss fights almost. You would feel way more connected with the pokemon you catch this way.

Nah, it wasn't that people forgot. Trust me, when i say fighting game, fans will play anything, even the most broken games. Like many titles that came out on the WIIU, its fate was sealed by being locked to the console. When it came out, the timing was perfect since it cashed in on two of the biggest fanbases at the time, which is the FGC and pokemon.
