Thing about the infinite tsukuyomi is that it also is tailor made for the person dreaming, so if I for instance deep down hate it when I get something I didn't work hard at, then the infinite Tsukuyomi would probably change itself to align with what my ideal world is. so it would feel even more tangible. Heck itachi when he killed his love interest in the books made her live out her entire life in the tsukuyomi before she died, and she lived a long happy life with itachi before passing on, she even thanked him for it

Boruto would never have this level of discussion and dissection. Even now we are arguing whether Madara, Obito and Pain were really the bad guys. It hurts that Boruto can't get us to talk about it like Naruto. EDIT: It has been over a year since I last wrote this comment. The first chapter of 'Boruto: Two Blue Vortex' was good, but the bar was already so low for the Boruto story, which, from my understanding, had a different writer (Kodachi) than Naruto's creator and original writer (Kishimoto). However, a while back, Kodachi was swapped out for Kishimoto, which makes the Boruto sequel act as an opportunity for a soft reboot of sorts, allowing Kishimoto to wrap up the storylines that Kodachi had set up and was leading into, and officially take the story in whatever direction and end goal that Kishimoto has in mind. I have hope for the Boruto story's future and greatly wish that my comment about its story's lack of depth to age poorly like milk because I want to enjoy the story. Disliking a story is just exhausting and leads to stress.

I’ve been saying this for years. Naruto war arc should’ve had people siding with obito after hearing his plan. Because it is almost guaranteed that if you offered the real world to an option to have a world where everything u dream about becomes reality. A big chunk of the world would be for it. Instead of white zetsu , we should’ve had half the world side with obito , so the final war becomes a battle of ideology and gives more depth for characters like obito and madara so when they turn good later on , we can kinda understand why. Obitos change to good because of “talk no jutsu” always felt out of nowhere , considering it was his dream for decades and killed thousands/sacrificed his whole life to achieve this dream just to switch.

The show could've and would've continued for another 100+ episodes of the war but Unfortunately the team making naruto thought it would bore everybody And it wouldn't be good for the rating Plus it seems kishimoto wanted to retire from this show , he has been forced and told by the companies what and what not to do , leaving him no space for creativity and introspection . This is probably why it ended vaguely And somewhat rushed . Fillers were also not kishimotos plan Although he didn't hate it.

Oh my goodness that would have been amazing! It also makes complete and total sense. If Obito had explained that you could live in the perfect dream I can see people turning over to his side. Yeah that would have been great seeing the world fight against each other one last time. But seeing the world unite was also pretty cool. I do like the idea of the enemy army being other people instead of the zetsus, that is pretty clever.

i think that many people dont realize that in the real world anything can happen and you or your friends/family/lovers may actually not even get to live your/their full life. They/ you can die tomorrow in a car accident, you may get cancer, hearth attack, die of high blood pressure or even in some accident or shooting. What The Infinite Tsukuyomi does is that it excludes many of those examples out of the equation and you and everyone you care about actually get to live their full lives. I ve only realized this after one of my closest friends died recently and I cant stop thinking about how I would love to bring him back, and in infinite tsukyomi it would have been possible , in this dream I could live in a world where he was still alive, and as I said everyone I care about would get to fully experience it with me. Plus I think that in this perfect world you could make it so you wouldn't get everything handed to you on a silver plate and could actually work hard for something but idk. My main point is taking those bs things you have no control over in life out of the possibilities of fucking it up.

Some people in this world are already in madaras infinite tsukuyomi. An" ideal escape" from reality. Some find it in drugs, others in mobile apps and games, some are so addicted that they shut themselves in and lose sight of what really matters in life. They give into the darkness and breed hatred, murder, and despair. Madara wasn't right. Getting what you want...all the time...means nothing when what you really want is acceptance. And Love. Genuine love that takes you in as you are (flaws and all). A world without conflict and pain... doesn't grow. The infinite tsukuyomi is a stagnant world that sucks the joy out of life itself. You'll find happiness every now and then in your various forms of escapism...but only momentarily. Naruto's message to Madara, Obito, and pain is "Yeah, life sucks so what! Pickup yourself up and stop worrying about the "why's". Why's chain you to the past. It's about "what" you can do about your life that really matters. Happiness is a choice." Naruto is the breathing example of that message. He knows pain and hardships better than anyone and he's genuinely one happy dude. That's my take on it, at least.

"Insanity is doing the exact same thing over and over and expecting shit to change" learned that from farcry3 but regardless it applies here, civilisation wants peace so a war brakes out- war ends and nations try to make peace so a war brakes out- war ends and nations want to make peace but a war brakes out - the final war isnt even about peace or a war but rather fate- I mean using the definition naruto and baiscally everyone fighting the infinite tsukyomi are completely and utterly insane- expecting peace from finishing this war which has alredy proven to cycle back 3 times prior. Naruto is insane and madara is completley sane, he has a solution to all the worlds problems and can finally brake the infinite cycle as the ghost of the uchiha the only reason to truly fight against it is the fact they dont want to live and die in a dream but rather a real world- which looking at it from retrospect is ironic given they live in a world dictated by the writers of the manga itself but I digress- naruto is truly insane yet its framed to know what he is fighting for but just found it interesting that what he is fighting for is just the continuous cycle to move on as normal

I completely agree with everything you said. I feel as if Kishimoto introduced Kaguya, White Zetsu, and the whole Otsutsutski alien ordeal to make the infinite Tsukuyomi seem worse, or doomed because it was too good of a thing for the heroes to oppose. Clinging to reality for no other reason than for the sake of it seems foolish, as to me, it doesn't matter if I'm in a dream or not if I perceive it all the same. I would take the Tsukuyomi option as I am right now (if it doesn't affect my loved ones, otherwise that would be quite selfish) with little hesitation, and my life is by no means especially hard or unpleasant, I can't imagine how desperate I would be to live in paradise if I lived in the near hell that the Naruto world realistically was.

The point of Madara’s dream wasn’t to be black and white, the reason why the infinite tsukyomi would be considered unethical is because in order to truly evolve as a person you need to go through what would be considered bad experiences, the infinite tsukiyomi is forced upon the people, causing more pain to those who experienced stuff like pain’s arc. Madara had the right intentions to make a perfect world like you said but a perfect world shouldn’t be just perfect, not to mention that he might have a glimpse of good inside him but he straight up manipulates Obito, Pain, and the entire ass akatsuki which causes more pain like the death of shikamura’s sensei, I get that when you put it as a perfect world it sounds good but thats not the tsukyomi. Madara narcissistically believes himself to be the savior of mankind and above all other shinobi, and as noted by several people, he wants to be the one who rules the new world he created. While his objective was to bring peace to the Shinobi world and to put a stop to the endless conflicts, Madara is responsible for far more death and conflict than any of the other nations. He started the Fourth Great Ninja War and got thousands killed, and when confronted with these deaths, he shows no remorse whatsoever. There are plenty of people in the world who are willing to accept reality and the hardships life has to offer. Going through suffering and pain, and learning to deal with it helps us to become stronger, be it physically, emotionally or mentally. As the saying goes "No pain, no gain." Madara had no right to cause so much suffering and death, and to force his beliefs onto others just because he doesn't like the state of affairs of the world. That is him becoming extremely selfish. He is not a god. It's not for him to decide if people should live in a dream world. If it's all just an illusion, then it's not true peace. As Sasuke said, "You're just deceiving people."

Two completely different plans despite the fact that they are both bat-shit crazy plans. And I'm pretty sure Sasuke never said his plan was similar to Madara's or that he was going to do something similar to Madara, he simply said to Naruto that the only reason the Shinobi World is getting along was because they all hated Madara and the Akatsuki (which is so very true) and Sasuke planned to make himself a villain like Madara so that everyone would keep getting along, similar to how Itachi did it.

I don't think it comes down to being morally right or wrong, because Madara's perspective and intentions are towards the path that is most efficient and least bloody. He saw that making peace with Hashirama and creating the Leaf village didn't really fix the issue, it rather perpetuated and upscaled it leading to big conflicts with big villages so even more bloodshed. He saw the hypocrisy of the villages wanting peace but eventually seeking war, so peace was a temporary solution to a perpetual problem. @@charleschiemekaekeogu6908 The people you mentioned never claimed to be the ones trying to save the world and create world peace. Madara was a hypocrite in the sense of while he talked about wanting to make world peace, he quite literally enjoyed the battle and bloodshed. He was out there having fun stepping on ants that were the ninja alliance, beating children like the Kage, and having worthy battles like Edo Hasihrama and Guy. Madara was hurt and traumatized by the violence, bloodshed and loss he felt growing up. So, his grand plan is to start a war and perpetuate that violence and bloodshed to the greatest it's ever been and have fun doing it, and then try to pull an 'I really wanted peace and to save you all the whole time' The Hokage you mentioned and Itachi acted as soldiers and military or spies leaders fighting for their country. The morality if it is gray, and that's even highlighted in the ninja world. But if even people as morally gray as the 5 Great Nations who were fighting to the death just before are uniting against you, you know something is up. It's not even like Sasuke's plan of uniting the world and forcing peace with him as a common enemy. And what Naruto did was lead by example, not words alone. He takes his problems and faces them head on rather than running away from them and living in delusion and lies because it's better than reality. Rather than trying to live in a perfect lie, he and the rest of the ninja world decided to fix a flawed truth instead. After the war, there was peace for the most part. The Great Ninja Villages formed closer connections, and the Kage of that time period and then Adult Naruto's time period maintained that peace until ninja alien gods from space and shady secret organizations who have a connection to them popped up

I could taste it, feel it, smell it, I loved so much and felt utterly and completely loved. My every desire was immediately met and I could do whatever i wanted whenever I wanted with no effort. I never felt tired or weak or hungry. I just felt ecstacy. But it went on so long that i couldnt take it anymore. I wanted to not know what was gonna happen. I wanted mystery and intrigue, but most of all, I didnt want my life back. I didnt know it was a dream. In fact I would have these flashes of "reality" where all i could see were people all around me, my dad crying and begging me not to go and my soul being tugged in every direction. But by the time I slipped back into my "dream" I thought those flashes of what was happening to my body was the dream. The dream felt more real. I didnt stop dreaming the whole time. Like 20 hours of nonstop heaven, i dont know what else to call it. It lasted so long and I cycled through so many lifes it started to leak into my long term memory. But as it went on I felt as if my self, my conscious self, was being molded and melted into some kind of collective conscious of all living beings, and not just humans. So the torment that came with having everything you wanted all the time started to melt away as well. I stopped questioning it and the people that I know in my waking life stopped showing up in this dream state. I stopped wanting, I had nothing left to desire, but the dreams didnt stop. They became so abstract that I just didnt exist anymore and it felt as tho I was spiralling and molding with the universe to go back to what really is, some form of god made up of all experience and life that ever was. The scenes got increasingly more unrecognizable. I didnt know my name and there was no need for one. In the beginning I got to spend time with everyone I have lost. I got to experience pure and completely unadulterated love. Not just sexual love but every kind there is. Some dont even have names and cant be described in this world. I had whole lives, in some I became successful and met my soulmate and we had children and everything was perfect. In another I was with my brothers and sisters and all of my oldest friends and we were just living in a post apocalypse of some kind. Others were gorey and pure filth and could easily be described as hell by some but I wanted it that way. But as time went on it became less of a "dream" and more of a psychedelic trip. I lost my name, or rather it lost me, and i had no need for it anymore. I was being shown all the beauty in the universe and blasting through experiences but I wasnt experiencing. Because I didnt exist. I felt completely at peace with everything and everyone. There was no more need to try or think or desire. I let go of it all. Right after I let go, I woke up in the ICU. I was myself again and I had that "dream" deep in my memory. I could spend years talking about what i saw and felt and i could write whole encyclopedias of it and it wouldnt do it justice. I became one with the universe and I was ready but I guess it wasnt my time. I think the fact that I wanted more than anything was to be done with this dream we call life and wasnt fighting to stay is why I was put back or woke up or whatever tf happened. Ive always had insane vivid dreams and I havent had a nightmare in 15 years and always end up sprinting at the demons in my dream. I have dove out of bed after waking up to 8 foot tall sleep paralysis demons made of blood, hate and wood because I have 0 fear in my dreams and I have no idea why. Im not particularly brave or strong. I, a few years ago, jumped off a 30 foot bridge into a dry creek with big jagged limestone boulders trying to end it, not in a dream, I actually did this, and got up with nothing but a bruise on my heel. This life we live is either affected by some kind of quantum immortality or its hell. Im completely convinced. I mean, why cant I just die and be done with it already...

Hmm...I think it is possible you glimpsed the true nature of reality. That in the end it is all perception. Maybe what you experienced is truly what happens when we die. Perhaps the human mind is so powerful it rendered all of these experiences while you were in a coma. Maybe this is why we forget our dreams. Maybe we live entire lifetimes in our dreams that we just don't remember in the morning.

Of course not I don’t think he would be able to do without getting his hands dirty that’s why I think Naruto as a character kind of sucks there is no true way to piece without getting your hands dirty Like technically he doesn’t even have peace like let’s be real within at least generations after Naruto‘s death or when he’s old and fragile there will be war against other nations so there would be technically no true way to piece without everyone having a mutual understanding of each other and that’s literally impossible and like if a war breaks out how do you stop a war by defeating the opponent same goes with the villains how do I stop the villain defeat them you have to defeat them or kill them for example with the joker and Batman Batman doesn’t kill the joker so he keeps going on killing and hurting thousands of people because you didn’t kill him you have to at some point get your hands dirty to achieve a greater goal that’s kind of what I think of his thinking about the whole eye of the moon plan it was more of a I get my hands dirty now so that I can eventually wash them clean by saving everyone.

@@RIP-hd8ln it still seems so bizarre to think that killing thousands of people in order to forcibly imprison them in a dream jutsu that sucks out all of their chakra could be seen as like an altruistic goal lol. he wouldnt have been saving everyone, the illusion of peace isnt salvation. his plan to subjugate the entire world to his fantasy all bc of some dumb rock in his familys cave is absolutely bonkers :v fun to discuss, but i could never see it as pure intention. its like having a spouse or family member make decisions for you without your input bc 'its whats best for you.' if they actually cared about your wellbeing, your input and consent would be something theyd care about as well yknow

@@swishyb I get what you say but you can also make the case of this when your family make a choice for you they may have good intention that be the same here he wanted the best for the world and thought this would help it was wrong to force it on people and kill thousands but he thought of the best for everyone he was misguided on thinking this was for the best and to thinking a FUCKING plant thing and a rock knew the answer to how to stop but then again naruto could not solve it we may think he did because no village is fighting but in 2 generations they will be fighting again so their is and was no really good solution to peace except eliminating all humans.

The thing about the Infinite Tsukuyomi is that it appears to be eternal bliss. Which, while sounding appealing, would only rob you of happiness in the end. If everything you know is happiness, it becomes the default. Life would be monotonous and dull. It's like being a Mary Sue. While it would certainly be an upgrade to their situation but it would be far from perfect. You could argue that working toward world peace would be better than lifelong monotony of everyone on the planet followed by the extinction of mankind.

I have heard the “what if u r under the simulation right now” point a lot, but it doesn’t matter, the whole point is the reality has to be real to YOU, although you wouldn’t remember inside the sim, making that choice to go under is inherently running away from ur problems instead of facing them

An argument often made, mostly, by strong willed people who tend to accomplish their goals no matter what. What if though you never could or were sabotaged multiple times and all you were told was grow up, keep trying, ect.? Not everyone is mentally strong enough to keep on pushing no matter what, everyone has a different breaking point.
