Can I just say, that is the most accurate description of how Ni works that I have ever heard. I tried to explain that I read people with sensory things that no one else notices, micro expressions, inflection and even how they smell, and then connect it to what I know about them. If I focus, I know what gave me the clue. But it's true, I have watched people and my own emotions and fictional characters even, and formed a Web of knowledge about how people act, or creepily, I know, how they smell when they are stressed or in fear. I have been listening and reading about INFJs for a year now, and I always love to hear about it from INFJs themselves. We maybe aren't as magical as those channels with the clickbait titles make us out to be, but I think we are pretty cool.

That's interesting about using smell to help make connections but it makes total ~sense~ :) I think INFJs have a lot of potential to be the magical, mystical creatures that we are often described as or compared to, but it is a journey full of a lot of misunderstanding, pain, suffering, self discovery, and self growth involved.

For the type that feels generally misunderstood, you did a great job at explaining how it is and help us to feel validated. Thank you for that.

Great video, Anna Marie. I find it helpful finding videos like this which help me discover myself through you. Most of your instances were so relatable. I remembered starting a new career where I have to make quick decisions, I ended up making a lot of mistakes because I do take time to weigh out the options. However, even though I hate making mistakes and sometimes my self-doubt gets a little of me, I still find making mistakes is the best way to learn through correction. Now I care less making mistakes and find it an opportunity to learn, and you only have to be right once.

your INFJ channel seems interesting, I relate to everything you explained (except since I'm INFJ and ADHD, I struggle to have an organised place as I would like to and struggle to feel good in my own place due to the impact of ADHD on my executive function and organisation). I hope you continue :) - your fellow INFJ ;)

Organization does not come easy or natural to me either. Sometimes I think I might have undiagnosed ADHD. That or our society demands way too much from people for them to survive and thrive without energy and cognitive enhancement medications. But that's another conversation lol.

Hiya - Really like the honest conversation. I will be looking forward to more of your vids. You said your husband is an ENFJ - Did that matter when you were looking at him as a prospective partner or did it not matter at all? I.e. were you looking at a potential partner based on their type as well?

I actually had no idea about personality types until years after I was with my husband. We just naturally clicked

So interesting in several ways. The openness is complex (like you said)- 1. There's Anna's persona, 2. Anna's presentation on INFJs generally, 3. Anna's personal INFJ journey, 4. Anna's undefined hidden stuff and 5. Momentary micro expressions of unfiltered Anna. Then me wanting to put the pieces together, knowing it's supposed to be a bit of an Easter egg hunt. Soo... Honestly, I see half of your INFJ struggle being the struggles of Miss America contestants. 💐😯

I struggle with perfectionism (miss america comment I'm assuming). I have used that as my shield from the fear of the world's rejection of my true self, which has not always been and probably never will be celebrated by others, but as I learn to accept and appreciate and love myself, it slowly cracks away at the need for perfectionism. But it's not an overnight transformation, so it manifests as me having moments of perfectionism on and off.

26min. open book say to much, have another look at that, is it that your open? or is it yet another manufactured social defence mechanism where all the enegry is directed into the words we then project into a meaningful construc held between us and the social happenings inorder for ppl to invest in the projection of proclaimed self and not our actual self. yeah i lost the path needed to convert that into text adequately
