Android is the OS of the masses especially in the developing countries, if it wasn't for Android, smartphones wouldn't have been so popular everywhere as iPhones aren't that affordable including for the middle class in the developing and poor countries. Besides Android gives so much freedom and choices when compared to iOS, Android is ultimately the best in all aspects.

not poor by any means, but I only went apple phone once and quickly left. My problem with Apple is the fact I don't like them not allowing me to root, side load, or mod the phone. @copper_canola1215 Жыл бұрын
@@bizzfo That's probably true in your country but from where I am (I live in a developing country), oddly enough, people who are usually not very tech-savvy are more likely to have an iphone. So, yes, females usually are iphone users. I've seen a lot of females who has an iphone worth 5 times my android and only uses like a tenth of its capabilities. They are also the ones who are awlays asking for help on using their phones, and they are also the ones that keeps buying a new iphone when a new one comes out. I live in a first world country, but I work outdoors and destroy phones quickly (once a year or so on average, but I have killed a phone in 3 days before because I took it out before the protective case I ordered for it showed up), so I always buy cheaper phones, Apple makes no such phones so I'm in the Android for the masses camp they are.

A great channel and well explained. Keep us the great work. Kudos and thanks! - I am curious as to how does the industry or you define mobile? Does it include tablets like iPad? Is there separate data that shows the mobile usage split in to phones, phablets and tablets - eventually desktops will become irrelevant and the concept of thin client ( we are already headed that way, I think) is universally accepted and used! Thoughts please!
@LogicallyAnswered Жыл бұрын
Technically speaking I think tablets are often included in the mobile category when creating statistics. But with that being said, I believe the vast majority of mobile is just smartphones given that smartphones are relatively way more popular. Ironically though, I am typing this on an iPad haha.

That was his point. open source version of android (aosp) doesnt actually collect data or include google apps thats because the code is open to the public so people would see what data they collect the thing is most phone makers (oems) use a googled version of android and a flavor of theirs on top (oneui for samsung etc ans these flavors probably collect data for the phone brand too) if the 2mb data upload is recorded on aosp its data the kind of which is open to the public so its likely harmless stuff its likely the google apps collecting data not android itself

I actually use it as a bridge between the ecosystems: while OneDrive can only be used between Windows devices, and iCloud between Apple devices, Google Drive is neutral, allowing me the freedom to use it to transfer files between my Windows HP laptop and my iPhone. If you're calling such ecosystems "walled gardens," by that analogy, my Google Drive usage can be thought of as that wall having a gate in it, allowing my files to travel between ecosystems.

A good trend that has been going on recently is the growing number of platforms supporting running Android apps. Google's own ChromeOS, Windows, and Huawei's custom OS are all examples. If this trend continues, it gives room for other mobile OSes to enter the market without suffering app compatibility problems and break the duopoly of Android/iOS. Heck, nowadays I would already say that Windows tablets with its android app support trumps Android tablets hands down, if only its hardware wasn't old overpriced garbage.

Android on the other hand didn't enjoy the same position like Windows OS, Windows choke MacOS Neck and Clobber their head hard, because there are ton of Great apps on Windows, and also Windows can run graphic heavy CAD & 3d Program, and Run AAA Games. Android on the other hand, they didn't have special advantage that Windows had over MacOS. everything that can run on Android can also run on IOS. the only advantage Android had is their price, and even then they're throw their advantage like it was trash, they're trying to be an IOS clone, making a premium product, competing head to head with apple. which if they both have a premium price, it's easy to just choose IOS over Android they're trying to win the premium market, instead of making sure that they're dominating low and mid market

And the OS is free so there is no secret agenda, Google still provides Android for free and if you want the apps that obviously you pay a licensing fee.
