Does honor lock detect a phone like connect to Bluetooth style and network/Wifi or do they just know u look at the phone from recording u and see the phone in the camera because I got 4 roommates and don’t want honorlck accidentally getting their phone detected because we close by

This works two ways. First, AI will flag you if you look around too much at anything. It’s really extreme movements, it’s not hardcore eye tracking tech necessarily. The second, if you get flagged by AI, then a human proctor will review, but not typically for Phone looking unless it’s overt. I’ve spent hours upon hours testing and I have a full video series on Honorlock! I’m glad this video is helpful!

How do you get to the screen?
@ronschermerhorn28 күн бұрын
To get to that screen, you have to go through the Honorlock Dashboard. In Blackboard Ultra once you add the LTI - HonorLock - Exam List (or whatever the school names it) add the LTI to the class, then after it has been added, click it. Next, Launch it! Then, you will see all of your Exams. Click on a Quiz or Exam that students have taken (Results). After you click that, then click on Review for one of the students and you will be there! I should have included this in the video. Thanks for watching! -Prof. Ron

Does it detect your eye movement ? I heard that if you keep looking away it will flag it.

I tested this and what will get flagged is big head movements where your eyes and head are no longer in clean view of the camera.

@@ronschermerhornis that what the test window lost focus meant? Or if not could you elaborate on what that means?
@ronschermerhorn20 күн бұрын
Yes, if you look away too much or have extreme look downs/ups or side looking, you will get that message that says "The Test Window has lost Focus". You can also get that message if you try to minimize, maximize or change the test window size and when you try to open another program or app as well. It's the App/Programs way of warning you to get back to the test window. The flags will be visible in the View Results. Depending on the case, the exam/quiz settings, a student could be kicked out of the exam or a live proctor might jump in if you have set it up that way. Usually, it mostly just gets flagged for the Professor to View those cases. Students rarely will get knocked out of the exam/quiz and the live proctors do a great job of taking a look and jumping into the live session with the student only if it's necessary or maybe the student requested help live.

@@ronschermerhorn okay sounds good that helps a lot. So basically it doesn’t really track just your eyes moving somewhere. It would only flag if I were to make a big movement to look somewhere else? Thanks for the help
