As a biased Philly Fan, I think so many other things went wrong too. -Roseman got too much control in the draft, which he always kinda sucked at (Reid was likely the guy behind that early success) -Roseman never got over the front office telling him to wait to draft Russell Wilson til the 4th round, this led to him not listening to anything Joe Douglas said, and one of the better talent evaluators in the league left. -Peterson, while he was held back by a few strings, also just was never as good once Reich left -By the time they won the Superbowl, the core was already pretty old, in hindsight they waited way to long to rebuild (couch cough The exact same mistake the Phillies made cough cough) -Not trading Foles immediately proved to be a mistake, and in Hindsight, the Bears double doink game killed the Eagles just as much as the Bears. Too much of Philly was never with Wentz to begin with. Too much of Philly couldn't get over Foles leaving, and Philadelphia gave up on Wentz long before they had a reason to. Sucks but it's true. -The team was old but in fairness the team was better then consecutive 9-7 years. Take 2019, they were injured to shit and despite that Wentz had 2 separate game winning touchdowns dropped and 1 more game tying. Wentz really carried them to at least 11-5 right there (Instead, Wentz was given receivers that can't catch). -Wentz, in hindsight, leaned on the Strong Offensive Line and Weak Division to carry the Injuries, Questionable coaching, Spotty Defense and poor receivers not named Ertz to more success then they deserved. -The Offensive Line, the only consistently good part of the team not named Wentz, finally fell apart to age and injuries and Wentz fell apart. -Wentz did some of this to himself, this mechanics were bad this year and his hero ball, while understandable in such a terrible situation, was way to careless nevertheless. But in general, I'm happy he's gone, I love him, but there's nothing here for him. I think Reich will reconstruct him and he'll be back to Pro Bowl shape.

As an eagles fan Thank you so much for releasing this for making this video. My takes I belive Carson Went is a good QB but diddn’t have a good O-line or receivers, and that Jalen Hurts was better with his mobility (I personally prefer more of dual threat QB so there is me with the QB situation) With all due respect to Wentz I believe Jalen Hurts is the guy of the future (Oh God please let this comment age well). However I feel that a big problem with the team was coaching, the birds would not have gotten the Lombardi without Reich as OC. And to prove my point just look at what he is doing in Indianapolis (they’ll be pretty good with Wentz) it killed me seeing all the failed 4th downs and 2 PT that were constantly happening on the field. So I believe it was good that Peterson was fired, and I believe Nick Sirianni is good HC hire (again plz let this comment age well). But I feel that the biggest issue that Trumps everything is Roseman is management and drafting has been trash and they need a new GM. #FireHowie

As an eagles fan it’s frustrating many fans screamed for dk and Jefferson but he goes with whiteside and reagor also him bringing old veterans back and a high contract. there is not a single fan of the eagles that is also a fan of howie roseman. people wonder what blackmail he has on lurie. people like lurie. lurie is a owner willing to spend money unlike half the league. the problem is he has a accountant that weaseled his way into being a gm, kinda like what is going on in Huston with their Chaplin running the show, he will be their gm in a few years no doubt.

2020 Season with Doug Pederson was the lowest ranking the Eagles ever had under Lurie & Roseman. Lurie is right to not green light failure & mediocrity. Under Doug Pederson was the first time in over 25 years that Dallas swept the Eagles then the WFT. That was a really bad sign.

I get that Roseman has not been great, but Doug absolutely needed to go. His play calling was absent minded and poorly executed. He was like a 12 year old playing madden calling plays. Despite the Eagles running the 6th most plays in the NFL in 2020, we were 22nd in rushing attempts per game. We were also 3rd in Rushing Yards Per Attempt. This may be when the Eagles ran the ball teams were shocked. You could also make an argument that the Eagles had to throw more because they were down more in games. However, the eagles only lost by over a TD 6 times this season. Doug also was horrible on 4th Down. Despite attempting 35 4th down attempts this season, the Eagles only converted 15 making them 26th in the NFL. These poor stats would convince you to not go for it on 4th down in situations that it wasn't necessary correct. Well Doug with his infinite wisdom still tried to force our poorly preforming, 2nd stringer offense that was hurt most of the year to go for it on 4th in some of the worst situations possible. To frame it as a team firing a Super Bowl Head Coach 3 years after the victory is a little wrong. Wentz may have been playing like a dingus and the team may have been in a horrible cap situation, but Pederson is the most to blame for everything. If Wentz was playing bad, why did we not rely on the running game. We didn't because Doug is a 12 year old playing madden. Our offense had WR injuries throughout the year and we were starting guys that wouldn't even make some NFL rosters. Yet Doug refused to make any sort of changes until he benched Carson. The only thing that changed with Hurts was Hurts' mobility and confidence. The Doug still barely ran the ball with Hurts, but Hurts could offset the poor offensive line by scrambling. These Scrambles also counted as runs, so Doug was still not calling that many designed runs. So even though conventional logic would say that a super bowl winning head coach should not be fired 3 years after he won, Doug is a special case who also needed to check his own ego.

Exactly, i get the feeling this guy really likes Doug and so he isn’t blaming any of this on him

A HC can only do so much though, if your talent is lackluster and can’t get it done, then that’s the fault of your GM sucking at drafting and judging talent, not really your HC. Especially considering that said HC just won a Super Bowl.
@kurtwagner3503 жыл бұрын
@@TheUnnamedAssailant the HC won a Super Bowl with a pretty stacked roster and coaching staff which came from the GM scapegoat you and this video speak of, and there have been countless examples through all of NFL history of GOOD coaches elevating a sub par roster through said coaching so why does Peterson get a pass?
