I’m glad the first Creepypasta didn’t fully pull the whole “But when my boss saw the tapes nothing out of the ordinary happened” trope even tho it did somewhat happen at first, but instead of making the boss unaware of what’s going on, the story acknowledge that the boss also saw what happened with the smiling dude’s face and also he realized the time loop situation. I know it would make more since if everyone in the time loop was unaware including the boss and the OP, but still I just like that this isn’t a situation where just no one believes the OP.

Same with me on Watchers net when it turned out that Oliver’s friend is the only guy who survived. Usually in creepypastas, the Narrator’s best friend is the first or only person to die in the story and was only there to kick off the chain of events. I liked how this story made Manuel an actual character instead of just a dumb and idiotic best friend who is just there to serve as a plot device to start the story.

Internet/tech based creepypastas have always been my favorite due to just how prevalent the Web is in our modern lives. The Internet can be quite scary for reasons both real and imagined so seeing creepyoastas reflect has been quite a nice little observation

Reading Watchers net brings me back memories of when I made up an imaginary friend as a kid. His name was the “Sleep-checker” and he was this ghostly figure who would rate how well I would sleep every night and he would occasionally drop some funny comment about me sometimes, I made him up to cope with the anxious insomnia I had as a kid whenever I watched something scary at night.

Im surprised you didn't go over that one creepypasta about a guy who was friend with some neighbor as kids, grew apart after years and when he went back and checked on his childhood friends house he found him in the garage with wires strapped to his brain into a VHS or something, connected to the TV with an animation loop of a smiling cartoon character. I skipped a bunch of stuff but basically the guy was addicted to cartoons and attempted to "Transfer" to it.

Have to disagree with your take on NeverSleepAgain. A good horror story always leaves enough room for imagination. What was it - a coincidence, a dream, an entity, a person in his house, a sentient computer that "hacked" his door, him imagining things? We will never know and that's the best part. The stories that go "Oooooo, a cryptid with crazy smile and hyperrealistic bloodshot eyes was behind this all along, he will turn you into mincemeat now, oooooo" are the most boring, cringe, cliche trash out there. That story is fine, it's not super scary (none of the creepypastas are really), it's unnerving enough since you can imagine yourself easily in this exact situation. "You watch something scary - something falls / makes loud noise - you shit yourself (metaphorically)" is something most of us can relate to and therefore feel, not the fairytales made by 13 year olds about their Slenderman OCs.
