The addition of the shadow is actually genius, as it shows that Kecleon is not invisible, but camouflaged to the bridge. Its also a neat tie in to its special ability. I loved finding all of the Kecleon hiding spots allong Route 119-120, i think there were 5 in total. I miss Gen 3 era games so much

Pokemon Go at least does something with it, having Keckleon encountered blocking you from spinning a Pokestop while it’s invisible. You then have to tap it to get it to become visible and hop off the stop.

Honestly, I kinda hate the implementation. I'm lucky enough that the content is fairly dense when walking through the town, so if I'm spinning a Pokéstop I don't have time for a dumb lizard to make it take longer Look how I'll change my tune if I get a mission where I have to catch Kecleon. I'll start hating it but for completely different reasons

Kecleon also has a unique mechanic in GO, where it spawns on pokestops and prevents you from spinning them. And if you tap it you get the encounter

It's understandable that they nerfed Protean in Gen 9 to nerf Greninja and to also avoid overlapping with Terastalization but man, Protean was such a good hidden ability on Kecleon. With access to Shadow Sneak, Sucker Punch, Drain Punch, and Fake Out/Recover, it could play around with type resistances and immunities in a fun but not broken way.

I loved the video, but you forgot to mention how in GO Kecleon is a sort of "rare/special encounter" like Ditto, Zorua, Smeargle, etc., it can't be encountered by normal means. They'll rarely appear on PokéStops and keep you from spinning them, with their red stripes being the indicator that they're one the stop.

Kelkleon is done really well it is a bit of a shame the pink kekleon isn't the shiny form and also it isn't used in the same way as in any other game but it is quite a cool gimmick Pokémon the way it is handled in Pokémon go is amazing as well I have also got the shiny in Pokémon go. It's also very cute such a cool design

I loved the lil guy. I made a dinosaur evolution for him around 2012 which had the new ability before Nintendo made it in later games lol Those 4 different colored ones are fascinating! Never seen those before :O The e-reader holds so many secrets

Hehe Keckleon is not a grass type, its really actually a normal type Pokémon. Its one of my favorite normal types and it has a super cool special ability called Color Change. It can even disappear and camouflage itself to escape its enemies. I love this Pokémon so much but come to think of it, Hoenn region Pokémon are the best too👍
