After watching this video, I actually try to put the gen3 and gen6 games' teams together and see how strong are they in nuzlockes I was considering competitive too but since I haven't touched pokemon games since 10 years ago I guess I'll let someone else do that for me

I’ve always loved the three cooltrainers on Route 34 of Johto. You need surf to reach them, and the map funnels you onto a tile where all three spot you and battle you back to back. It was like a proto-Winstrate family.

Fun fact: Vito actually makes a cameo in Pokémon Journeys in the episode where Ash battles Steven. He's watching the battle from a Pokémon Center in Hoenn alongside Professor Birch, Drew, Harley, Tyson, Morrison and a bunch of random characters of the day from the Hoenn series.

I really wish we could rematch them. Much like the reporter duo and trick house, taking on the gauntlet again would have been such a cool feature. But still, Gen3 had so many little cool things you never really think about :)

Sadly among those 3 only Ty and Gabby can be battled over and over. I was actually sad when the Trick Master challenge ended. We exhausted the poor guy's creativity.

Saphire was one of my first two games, and I got to the Winstrate family before ever getting to an elite four. Needless to say, the Elite Four giving you a chance to heal was a huge relief.

I watched the anime before playing the games, so I was quite surprised to find out that this random family Ash and co. met was based on actual NPCs from the game.

The Winstrates in the anime were great, it was a nice episode for Max to battle. Kinda wish Vito was one of Ash's rivals. I do like how this family concept is improved with the Riches in BW, sadly they're in postgame Undella where Cynthia lives.

Not related but i noticed that the first time you meet greeta she is asking nemona to do her work for her lol and then does it to us too. Thats why nemona is taking on the gyms even though she's a champion. Also there's a field of apple trees in the dlc trailer and i noticed there is an apple tree in the academy entrance hall. Apple was also an answer choice in the elite four test when they ask what academy you attend. It probably means nothing but its a cool detail. Always enjoy your videos! 🎉 keep up the good work.
