That’s not too uncommon. Movies take a while to make. We only really pay attention from the time they start filming. Such a shame they couldn’t make this film in their hey day. I enjoyed it though and it’s sad that I don’t think we’ll ever see these 3 actors on screen together again. Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci such undenied talent.

@@VicenzoV I disagree. If you were expecting this to be another knockout kinectic rollercoaster ride like Goodfellas or Casino then of course you're gonna be disappointed. This movie I'd argue is even more complex than those other two and it's a great and welcome sendoff for Scorsese's mobster films.

Argelis Planchart I think the Irishman has a lot more depth than goodfellas or casino, that’s what I like about it. It has a lot more to teach you about life than just about a rise and fall of gangsters.

it really shows you what a trip great actors take to get those great, great roles. Joe Pesci's table read is dry, undramatic, totally unspectacular. any high school theater geek could do justice to the quality of that initial read by Pesci. but then . . . look at what he did with it when it came time to put up for real. the way he says "and some people are having serious problems with him" is nearly perfect. you can tell he's trying to break it as nice to his friend as he possibly can . . . but he's also SET on seeing this thing done. it was an amazing performance, and the best of his career. it was great to see him back, and even greater to see him come back on the top of his profession.

My girlfriends aunt's, husband, reminds me of Al Pacino so much. My girlfriends aunt is only like 54, but her husband is, I believe 70 maybe 72. He looks a lot like Pacino. He's from Brooklyn or the Bronx. He's definitely got that mobster look to him. I could see him being in a Scorsese film. Weird thing is, is he's probably one of the funniest people I've ever met. He's an alcoholic, and a pain pill addict, and wasted his life away. He probably could've been a comedian. That guy can say "hello" to you, and it's just hilarious for some reason. So basically he's a hilarious Al Pacino look-alike.

Lmao right? My girlfriends grandma is from Arkansas. So she has a southern accent, and sometimes she'll call my girlfriend's aunts house phone, and her uncle will answer, and her grandma will say "where'd Debbie done gone too?" So her uncle walks around saying "where'd debbie done gone too, right here right now?" Just to be a dick, and mock my girlfriend's grandma. Lmao. I shouldn't laugh, but I can't help it. He cracks me the fuck up.

What happens sometimes is that a movie flows so naturally that you get carried with it, and fail to notice the dramatic and acting weight that even little moments like this are carrying. I'm glad this video highlights this moment in a way that it can be properly appreciated...
