Nice video! One thing though: The drive train of the "faster" Z28 Iroc-Z 3rd gen Camaro was one with absolute limits: If you start fiddling with the 305...you're probably able to gain some horses...but your drive train is not able to cope with more horses, then it came standard with. So you basically can do 2 things: Change the horses of your 305 or put a High powered engine in there --> then you'll also have to swap out about everything behind the engine as well: so gearbox, driveshaft, rear axle and more. Or you leave it as is and you save alot of money. The 3rd Gens by the way are rising in value, but that goes for cars which are as stock as possible... I am just saying... Do whatever you want to do, but keep in mind that more power than standard will chew up your entire standard drive train... Ask me how I know ;-)

Absolutely enjoy it and build it the way you always wanted. Do it right Mang!!! I had an 89 ran low 11's on stock rims and tires so you can build a beast. Iroc is an excellent platform to create a street beast or track monster. Focus on suspension as you would focus on the engine rear and trans. Good luck!! Enjoy it!! Life is Short and those who wait never get the ride and what you put into it is what it will return. So do it right !! LOL

Gut the intake and create a ram air setup, bump timing, increase fuel pressure, relocate MAF, delete smog pump/under drive, air foil, coolant bypass, shift kit, weld the rear + gearing, and a few other things. I see you already have a couple things but those are relatively light mods you can do without ripping the engine apart. Edit: A diff cover along with welding the axles and bracing will be good for 380-400whp. My stock rebuilt/reinforced rear in my 4th Gen is holding 470whp all day with sticky tires as well.

Would really love to see how much you can get out of that 305. Leaving it naturally aspirated with the tpi, like some runner intake porting, cam and swapping of the heads.

That's the plan but i will probably go carb or throttle body injection. The TPI really limits performance.

My 87 has the OG 305 that's been carb-swapped and the plan's been to run the motor till it blows up and swap in a blueprint crate or something, but lately I've been mulling around the idea of hopping up the 305 instead. I've never seen a built 305, and I'm kinda curious to see what you can get out of them! Also, mine looks just like OPs, so that's pretty cool xD

Do you know how easy it is to fix a leaking fuel injector, the one on the lower left by the acceleration string was leaking as if it was splitting blood. I'm no gear head but I've been told it just needs to be replaced, maybe the o ring is broken. I'm pretty worried, I've only had the car a month....it's done it 3 times, I've been told it's running rich, but yeah I just got her and spent almost everything I saved to get it. Maybe you can just take me to a good site as a reference?

It could be an O ring. That would be a quick fix. Otherwise, new injector(s). Lots of online parts sites - or local auto parts store?
