What an incredible story...full of luck...and perks! Must have been an awesome time in your life to have known these people!

There was definitely a lot of luck involved, being in the right place at the right time, all the stars lined up in my favor. It was also a bit overwhelming at times, to put it mildly.

Awesome lifestyle! If Bleecker didn’t have to take The Oath or participate in those Eyes Wide Shut demonic parties nor sacrifice anyone, then that gig he had was most certainly awesome!

M. Bleecker. What I noticed is how it sort of just happened for you during this period in Hollywood. You just sailed the wave. And it is a good thing! I feel you had some people like Blake Edwards trusting in your talent. He seemed to be a sort of mentor. It is not something I see much in my Quebecker culture. People around the world praise how we are simple and down-to-earth folks in Quebec, but mentoring is something that is lacking. Actors don't usually get bothered by fans in our Province as we respect their private lives. I remember going to a bar in Montreal for the birthday party of the boyfriend of a friend of mine. I see a guy that looks just like actor Anthony Michael Hall (Breakfast Club, Weird Science, tv show Dead Zone, etc.) standing at the bar. I am sitting at the table and he just walks and sits right next to me. He was joining the ex-girlfriend of the man being celebrated, She happened to be the makeup artist from the Dead Zone sci-fi tv series he was filming in Montreal. I was first impressed by how tall he was. I am about 5'9'' tall and he stood over 6' tall. On the tv show, most supporting actors with him were very tall so he looked smaller. He turned out to be such a nice guy. Very casual and simple. We had an interesting discussion mostly about my job as a teacher. I was quite happy with all this has I was a fan of the show.

Interesting story! Yes, Hollywood is called Hollyweird for good reason. I worked as a writer for several years for the Canadian born actor William Shatner, who also has been a friend for many decades. Cheers

Tom, are there any more installments of Ms. Sanbo's stories of Bruce coming down the line for us?

Not at the present time. Cheers

What unbelievable luck to meet Blake Edwards. And then to go on and earn his trust like that. It certainly gives an insight into their world. Tom, with the 50th Anniversary of Enter the Dragon approaching. Is there anyone you know at Warner Bros who could help get something special done to commemorate this event?👍

You asked an excellent and timely question. My wife and I recently took the 3-hour Warner Brothers Studio tour that was exceptionally comprehensive. The tour covered its main stars and movies dating back to the 1930s. The tour had film clips, and life-sized replicas complete with wardrobe, and photos of their biggest films were everywhere, and even their tour guides talked in great detail about the studio's biggest films. That said, I was baffled and amazed that there was not a single mention of Bruce Lee anywhere in that 3-hour tour - not a single film clip, life-sized replica, or even mention of ETD by the tour guide. This is a film that to date has grossed Warner Brothers over a billion dollars, and yet it would appear from the tour that the movie never existed, which I find quite odd.

@@TomBleecker Tom thank you so much for your quick reply. I'm a subscriber to Charles Damiano's Bruce Lee Collectors channel. And he asked the same question last week. We are hoping to get the fans to contact Warner Bros and get something done for Bruce. I worked out they made over 350,000 % profit from Enter the Dragon. So perhaps we can get something done for him. One thing I have got is the life size replica in my gym. You can see him on my thumbnail photo. Thanks again for your reply. With best wishes. Jonathan.

@@jwfloating-world Please let us know what you hear from Warner Brothers. There has to be something major going on that caused such a complete abandonment of Bruce and ETD. I'm wondering if it was those drug letters, although Bruce wouldn't have been the first Warner Brothers actor to be involved with drugs and alcohol. It's a mystery to me. Cheers

He was lucky and fell into it. I'd rather have a lot of luck, than a lot of talent.

Luck and being in the right place at the right time is how the majority of stars are born. I believe it was Oprah who once said, "You have to be good, so that when you get lucky, you're ready."

Hi Tom.Love your insighful videos.I wanted to get your opinion on Steven Seagal's claims that he met Bruce Lee "many many times" "hanging out" at James Colburn's house to "watch them train".I find it highly unlikely for a couple of reasons based on simple logic but i wanted to get your opinion about his claims mainly because you were around that circle (Dan Inosanto,Ed Parker,Bruce Lee) at that time.

I have no firsthand knowledge of this, although I can say that Jim Coburn, who was a good friend, never mentioned this to me, and I think he would have. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJfbfIeiiK54bZI

@@TomBleecker Seagal also made claims in the interview link you posted in your reply that he and Bruce would talk about their bi-racial sons (Brandon and Kentaro) but Kentaro was born in 1978 so how could their sons have ever met....lol

@@alexscott730 I've never like Seagal since I learned that he ordered 14 wild peacocks shot at a 20 acre ranch he had just purchased in Los Olivos because the birds' screeching interrupted his sleep.

@@TomBleecker You did some Kenpo with Robert Loggia(RIP)👍👍..What was he like to work with?...I always thought he would have been perfect as Joe Bonnano in some mafia biopic. They looked almost identical...
@TomBleecker2 жыл бұрын
@@alexscott730 Bob was a delight to be around, very easy going and always in a good mood. His interest in Kenpo solely had to do with his leading role in an upcoming TV series "The Ferret" that I wrote. As part of his character, he was going to perform karate in some of the episodes. When the series wasn't picked up by NBC, I wasn't surprised that he had no interest in continuing his instruction. Thanks for your post.

Also, what is your opinion on Bruce Lee’s newly discovered drug letters? Did cocaine contribute to his death? Much respect to you and your family mr. Bleecker!

Good afternoon Mr. bleecker! Hope all is well with you and your family. It’s been a while since we conversed in the comment section of your very informative Bruce Lee related video vlogs. Would it be possible for you to do a video going into detail about what roles Bruce Lee had lined up for after Enter the Dragon and Game of death?? What movies would we have seen from him next?? What films were Warner Brothers planning for him? I know he would’ve potentially been in Stoner (1974), Queen’s Ransom (1976), and The man from Hong Kong. You’d be amazed at what these A.i. apps show bruce lee’s career as if he would’ve lived in 1974. Also, there seems to be zero info or insight anywhere on what Bruce’s perspective on his May 10th 1973 brush with death was during the last few months of his life. What did he speak of it? What was his perspective on it? Did it affect him mentally??? My apologies for the long novel of a comment man. I’m just anxious to know and you have been the most insightful in my opinion. I hope all is well with you Mr. Bleecker. I’m looking forward to your perspective on all of this. God bless you and your fam!🦾🫱🏿🫲🏼🙏
