The wording is wrong. The Most High wanted Jacob to have the blessing because Jacob knew it's value! Esau, would have eaten regardless, however he didn't value the blessing. YaH looks at the heart. YaH saw that Esau's heart didn't value the blessing over filling his belly (flesh, making him a child of the flesh) and Jacob did understand and value the blessing, making him a child of the Spirit.
