Why speed through the parts of you changing the filter? Kinda seems counterproductive to the whole point of the video.
@mathieusb50810 ай бұрын
Exactly, you show how to spray a can, but not if it's hard to remove the cap for the oil filter, and how you use your tool, and you need to talk more about flush engine and the different product...

Nice video, my only concern with the sucking out method to change the oil is that you won't suck up a bunch of the dirt and solid stuff that can appear with old oil, and you are essentially compromising your new oil, so I think its still a good idea to drain the oil via the drain plug. And what happened to that blue convertible? its been a while since we've seen that car! Other than that I like watching your channel, thank you for the great content!

You actually drain less oil with the drain plug on this. You get more by sucking, not draining.

Agree this is by far the easiest engine (2017 XJL) I've ever changed the oil on, using the same fluid extractor. But maybe next time you change the oil, you can show the actual process, like removing and replacing the oil filter instead of just giving a vague indication of where it's located. Don't assume someone who has never done this knows where everything is or how to do it. That's supposed to be the point of an "instructional" video. And when you change the filter, it should come with a new O-ring. Don't forget to replace that along with the filter cartridge! And for godsake man, cover the damn air filters with a plastic bag before spraying that crap all over them!

wait it’s okay to spray water directly in the bay like that? i’m buying an f-pace S and i’m not about to pay no damn $200+ for an oil change haha. any owners tap in & please advise!

I just washed the engine in my 2017 XJL (same 3.0 L SC engine) a couple of weeks ago using P21S auto wash, let it sit for a minute then hosed it all off with LOW water pressure from the garden hose. Dried it as much as I could with the leaf blower on low power, then drove it about an hour to dry the rest off. The alternator is buried so deep in the engine bay, you can't even see it, so didn't think there would be any danger from not covering it in a plastic bag. And the battery is in the trunk, so no worries there. Worked like a charm, engine started right up, no damage, no codes, no fires, no explosions.
