Who is the most sick and therefore the most deserving of pity. EDIT: I want to clarify that this is a pattern I’ve noticed over many years, as someone who grew up online and also on tumblr. I also used to do shit like this but the difference is when I was doing it, I was literally a teenage girl who needed attention. What’s Jake’s excuse?

You don’t go to the ER for pre-op stuff (which I am assuming the knee stuff/scans were pre-planned because he’s talked about it previously). You can go to the hospital for pre-op scans, but there’s a hospital side and there’s an ER side. You go to the front desk on the hospital side, they check you in, they confirm they have your surgeon’s order, you wait, they take you to different parts of the hospital for whatever test you need, and you leave. Depending on what you need or how you’re feeling, you may get to lay/wait on a bed (just depends on where you are in the hospital and what’s available) but you don’t go anywhere near the ER-they are two entirely separate wings

In case you're curious, Chronic Lyme isn't a disease per se, it's an umbrella term. It essentially means doctors can confirm there's something medically wrong with you, but it's not related to a classified illness. Which to that end, Jake is probably sick, the issue is he's also got the most comedically out of proportion case of victim mentality and entitlement I've seen from anyone on KZbin.

The thing with chronic Lyme is you still can do something about that. I had late-stage Lyme disease and went to a specialist in my area in Germany. His solution was a certain Antibiotika administered IV for a certain length of time and it worked, symptoms were receding until i was cured. My doctor said everybody that had chronic or late state Lyme ever that came into his praxis was cured by antibiotika, the problem is just some people don't follow through with the treatment, because it is very taxing to go to the doctor every day to get an iv.

So this is coming from someone, who has chronic pain and fatigue. I have severe hypermobility, and this is maybe bc of Ehlers Danlos (the doctors can’t decide). This has led to early degenerative disease in most of my joints. And while I have good days, where I can walk to the supermarket, and bad days (most days) where I need my walker (right now I am waiting for hip surgery, so it is hard walking almost anywhere), I can’t imagine, having to do dance training for hours. And that is what he have had to do, to be able to dance like that. And he is using his whole body. So while I can’t say, that he has a touch of malingering, it is very weird, that he some days have to use a wheelchair, and other days can do dance training, that would be demanding for most people. Usually there isn’t that much of a difference between good and bad days, when you have chronic pain and chronic fatigue.

I looked up the clinic from the news segment out of interest - It literally just treats sensory processing disorders and related symptoms in other conditions (ADHD, TBI, autism, etc). They perform intensive eye-tests and prescribe "special glasses". Sensory processing issues can impact things like attention issues, fatigue and migraines, sure. But I don't know why they're implying he's there being treated for some all-encompassing unheard-of mystery illness. To be honest, I have no idea why that charity is providing the travel expenses for this - wouldn't it would have been worthwhile to ask if the family might want help travelling to, say, a highly respected rheumatologist to investigate the unexplained joint pain and fevers instead? Surely, the family would prioritise "desperately searching for help" for those concerning symptoms instead of fighting to be sent to a very distant clinic for one niche issue? Very odd.

I'm almost certain what Mr. Dancelittle was talking about when he said "disability insurance" is they type where he gets paid roughly $900-$1000 per month and gets full health insurance and doesn't have to work anymore. He wants to be a youtuber and have that income, but he ALSO wants to use the government so that he doesn't have to pay for his health insurance and/or medications and medical procedures. There are a LOT of people (like Jake imo) who attempt to manipulate the system so that they get free money and insurance and don't have to work. Okay. People are just getting tied up on the term salary, because some people make an HOURLY wage which isnt the same as a set salary in the US. Also I am on dialysis for kidney failure, I worked in Law Enforcement for 6 years while on dialysis, and I made $23 an hour working for the State. I was hourly not salaried, and I only get $900 a month in SSI (supplemental security income) disability. SSDI Social Security Disability is different than SSI. SSI is supplemental income and some people only qualify for SSI which is a very small amount. $900 a month is basically the cap and that's what I live on.They don't give you more than that. Social security Disability pays more and is what you paid into through your work paycheck, and it is different per state as far as who qualifies for SSDI depending on your work history(at least in my state, if I would have worked one more year I would have qualified for SSDI but I ended up having to learn to walk again after my femoral artery ruptured after a surgery on my dialysis graft went wrong and had to go into a nursing home and had to retire) Also, most people are denied at least three times when they apply for disability, I even used lawyers and because of my state and some of the qualifying factors made me intelligible for social security disability, but I did qualify for supplemental security income. So I get 900 dollars a month, and that is it. I also qualify for medicare and food stamps, but it's horrible and I hate dialysis, and I have to go four hours of treatment every other day. And then it takes me a whole day to recover. I've been trying for 7 years to get on the kidney transplant list. It is really difficult. I wish I could just go back to work. I hate this so much. Why would anyone want to be this way??? More than likely, he won't qualify for any type of social security disability, maybe possibly supplemental security income, but if someone like me (with a serious, terminal illness) had such a hard time getting SSI then I highly doubt he would even qualify.

@emeraldstandardconsultancy595919 күн бұрын
@@drewzi2044 no revenue is the the amount of money the business generates. while gross profit is revenue minus costs. ie 100 t-shirts sold at 50 is 5000 in revenue. if they cost 25 per t-shirt it would means that the profit is 2500 ie 100% profit margin (as you base the % on the cost per unit) no clue what nonsense your on about. also yes you can have products with a higher cost than the price you sell. for example game consoles are often sold at a loss as they make most there money licencing games for the consoles and its more important to have a higher consumer base as thats not where they make there profit
@drewzi204419 күн бұрын
You can have more profit yes. But profit margin is related to revenue. Revenue is what your business generates including profit. Your profit margin cannot be higher than your revenue. It’s a percentage of revenue. As far as I know though I might be wrong.
@drewzi204419 күн бұрын
100% profit margin would mean all of your revenue is profit. If your company generates £100, how does it then earn 1000 pounds in profit. All that would mean is that you have miscalculated your revenue, which should included profit. And then you divide your profit by the revenue and times it by a hundred. So if your revenue is 100 and 10 pound of it is profit. Then (10 divided by 100) * 100 = 10%.

The profit margin here would be (2500 / 5000) * 100 = 50% Which means that 50% of your revenue is profit (it's a margin of your revenue). What you are calculating is gross profit. @@PicaPauDiablo1 " You don't think you can have 11 surgeries without strong medical need " I never said that, I'm saying they shouldn't give 11 surgeries to someone with NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM. Trying to compare cosmetic surgery to restorative or reconstructive surgery proves you are just trying to debate-lord this. Yeah, an adult with their own money can ask for an endless number or cosmetic surgeries though even those doctors should stop and question if the cosmetics surgeries aren't enabling a body image disorder after a point. That doesn't compare to a child getting yearly RECONSTRUCTIVE surgeries on insurance. My issue isn't the number of surgeries, it's the context. If it's munchausen and the doctor can't find anything other than what the child says is wrong, then after so many surgeries, it's malpractice. If it's 11 reconstructive surgeries because the guys knee tendons are degrading year by year, no problem.

4:15 how can you have gone through a bankruptcy and still head a charity? Seems like a conflict and possibly yet another lie
