The Tokyo police I encountered in Japan where very helpful and polite barely speak English and my Japanese was horrible but my companion was fluent so I was able to understand what was going on. We looked like some lost tourist so he wondered if we needed assistance.

Man I wanna go to Japan so bad, but the medication I take for a chronic health condition is banned there. When I found that out, I was so bummed! T_T Recently, I've been trying to figure out if there's some way to switch over to something that is allowed there, but my options are very limited. I never thought a foreign country would be so strict about something like this, even if I have extensive documentation showing that it's prescribed by a doctor and that I have been taking it for many years.

i always endup the cops ask me show my ID card, and they record it, and of course they check everything inside my bag, if i ask them why they want to know or check? they start offended, so i want to get trouble more, i just cooperate with. there is lots of people there walking like 50 people, only me and my friend was being holdup. luckily, nothing was happend after that, they say it's for "safety" purpose.

In the US it's a big deal to be approached by police, because our police are known for escalating situations very quickly. Whether it be restraining you in a violent way, or tasing you, or even shooting you. You could have your ear buds in and not hear the police and if they think you ignored them, they might do something that sends you to the hospital. Or you do hear them the 2nd time and you reach into your pocket to stop your music and they put 15 holes in your chest because you were "clearly reaching for a weapon". Cops do this stuff too often here and rarely get in any trouble for it at all, like an unpaid suspension for a few weeks is about the worst they get, and rarely even that! Mostly it's a PAID suspension! So murder an innocent person and get a paid vacation. I'm sure plenty of cops are ok, but way too many here are deranged with a lust for blood.
