I made this decision 10 years ago, and it was the best one ever. I am surrounded by people who are not related by blood yet love me more than my own family, who claim they would die for me, even though I know their love is "conditional."

Learned this 5 years ago. Actually, I just cut off a close cousin of mine not that long ago, me and dude were like brothers my whole life but he’s been wild disrespectful towards me for more than 10 years now and I had enough of it. The sad thing is his mother, who used to be married to my uncle on my mom’s side, is sick with cancer so at a time when he could use all the family he can get around him, he chooses to continue pushing people away. So I’m focusing on me now🤷🏾‍♂️

Set Boundaries and let each person knows that respect goes both ways and relationships are never one sided. Not what you can get and what you want when you want without remorse and or understanding. Break that cycle and generational curses Especially when words are used to tear down rather build up. Pivot in your purposes and SET BOUNDARIES, if set boundaries are not respected, then Cut. Tell the person, why you are cutting and moving forward from their toxic energy
